You know what I miss?

...I miss that feeling of looking out at a fairly empty playa with a few groups spread out, the Identifiable land marks and projects taking shape. And slowly hour by hour the city building it's self up out of the dust. that's what I miss, so perhaps by sharing what we miss we can remember to remember collectivity.

i miss the serenity of the mornings

at time, as the sun begins to draw long shadows across the playa, the air has cleared. everything is calm.

occasional spent revelers wander toward camp. others rise to greet the possibilities of the new day

everything seems fresh and wonderful

I'm giving this a nudge to Experiences At Burning Man, since that's a better fit.

I miss Uchronia (the waffle) and the Temple Of Stars. Last year's temple was pretty cool, but just served to remind me how big and ornate and amazing that thing was. I appreciated it quite a bit at the time, but in the years since it feels like I took it for granted.

I miss the feel of picking hunks of concrete out of my nose when I think no one is looking. Arriving early in the morning to a freshly cleaned and cool potty. Parking my ass in the shade and just doing nothing.
