Hi Simon, Ashland says Hi! Really beautiful up there. Had a great time celebrating friend's 50th BDay. Very civilized town. Quite a bunch of heroics, as usual, YG. Sounds like the hail on the road not only caused the accident, but the slide on the hail likely saved the poor guy from a worse injury. Sorry about your cold Anti M. Morning MDF. We had rain in Ashland yesterday and on the way down until south of Yreka and then just a ton of bugs on the windshield. Saw a great production of "The Taming of the Shrew" in Ashland. Very modern and very funny. Got some great pictures in the Jacksonville cemetery for you YG. Looks like a load of fun FJ!

Well, here it is Monday so it's back to the old Hi Ho, Hi Ho

Glad you had fun, Marty!!! and yeah, I'd agree the deep slush may well have helped the guy. He also had super gear, full kevlar suit (with heater), full helmet, gloves......but the way he was bouncing and flipping in the air,I'm amazed. I bet he's sore, today, though.

and Yay-fun pictures of saguaro man Figgy, I really liked the body art on that fella. very creative. Your throne looks like a fun photo-op, does it have poles so it can be carried as a liter?
Ygmir I know that feeling of being the only one there that takes it upon themselves to put their neck out to save someone else's. sometimes the sad part is seeing individuals in the crowd when the crowd has taken on the group mindset, their helplessness is their own prison, and as always courage and action beat self-preservation and complacency every time.

ah, this spring rain is lasting a long time. I'm not complaining, it'll at least forestall fire season a little longer. Though, it has trashed my irises , they're all laying on the ground now.

So, I picked 30, of those huge roses (about the size of a grapefruit) yesterday,and put them in a jar, in the freezer.
I'm thinking, they gotta make nice smelling stuff, and even infusion into vodka or something that might be cool.
Anyone got and recipes for that stuff? My next huge yellow climbing rose should be opening soon, and it'll make just as many,I'msure. They smell quite strong.

I've heard of rosewater infused vodka, but have no idea how that stuff is made (or how it tastes). Rosewater oil might also be something to try and make, you'll have the fanciest mister on the playa!

You need to make rosewater if you are going to consume the roses. Also, candied rose petals are yummy. Yes, you can infuse vodka with rose petals directly.
