Fur Hat Pattern?

Post by kiss-o-matic » Thu May 09, 2013 10:31 pm

Howdy

Any of you seamstress or seamsters know of a good (online preferrably) fur hat pattern I can buy? There are a few tutorials and I could probably get through them, but I'm a novice, and have a huge head (physically... I'm actually quite humble) and the handful I've found are a good inch too small in diameter. I could probably make due, but would rather not risk wasting the fabric.

Kiss-o-matic, You can't just ask for a hat pattern. There are endless styles of hats. Go to an online hat co. and browse. (Like Berkeley hat. I think they have about 400 to look at.) Find out what you like and then I bet you'll get some useful help here.

Plus, once you find a favorite you may not need a pattern. I would get an old sheet or blanket and start playing with it.

This is about the easiest kind to make, and a fun video to watch.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Cheers for that -- and bless her heart.

Ironically, I bought a few pieces from her shop last year and they were great. Was thinking of hitting her up again for something this year, but should probably make the hat.
