Ahoj Misa!! jak se mas?
hezky snidanje, djekuje (sp? hahaa)
It's looking like a challenging logistics year for the burn, in that I may have to leave mid burn, drive to Santa Barbara and come back, in two days. Seems doable, but, challenging. I'll know more after the staff campout this weekend.

Good Morning Yggy and Dear Misa B
So glad to see you made it here to today
tomorrow will surely be even better
and yes I would listen to your story with interest
mine seems just a grumble to step on

Good morning Misa! Glad to see you're hanging in there, and mmm brekkie. How's that bruise doing?
Sounds like a logistical nightmare, Yggy, but if anyone can do it I know you can. You may want to ping 007, he had to leave the playa for a couple days during last year's event...

Well said, Graidawg *passes the bottle*
Here's hoping things brighten up for you in the work department and you get some smooth sailing over the course of the summer months.
I've got to go play the street parking shuffle in a few minutes, once I get the van moved to a spot that doesn't have a two hour limit I'll join you. It's been a frustrating day for me. Up late last night and then early this morning trying to get these specialty nails for the nail gun at the workshop so's I can hold my material to the table while I'm cutting it (they normally sell them in small packets but have been out for a week, my supply's been running dry). It's an awesome concept - use nails made out of a composite plastic, so that way if the router hits it when cutting through the wood it won't destroy the router bit (that gets expensive), but as it turns out those suckers are impossible to find locally. I did find a few places online, but even that's a struggle (one of them not only didn't take orders online, but when I called this morning to place a phone order they had to take a message - only one employee there even knows anything about the product and they don't have either a price sheet they could read from or an ability to take my order without him standing by. Yeesh. Third time's the charm, fortunately, so I got an order placed to cover what I need in the future. But today was going to be old school - brass screws. Of course the job files were all designed based on other methods to hold stuff down, and even after making some corrective changes I was still throwing a few parts. So I finished up the sheet I was working on and packed in my session early. Instead of being able to get 5 sheets of wood cut into parts today, I only got 1. Then load the uncut lumber back into the van, and head back home, where parking seems unusually painful (I'm a block away, in a spot that has a 2 hour limit). And in even crazier news, when I touched base with my campmate who books the truck rental to confirm the vehicle cost (so we can work out what dues will be), he responds back to let me know he hasn't yet gotten that sorted. Make mine a double - oy!

Morning, kiddies. Another bright & beautiful one here today. Good to see Misa here. Been busy. Tough trail to go from BRC to Santa Barbara in mid week of the Burn, YG. Hope that you can avoid that. MDF, those creamy minty drinks sound so seductive and hyper caloric. Yikes! But yummy! Long weekend ahead and much more Playa prep to do. Getting a bunch of used wind screens (gratis) from my tennis club for our shade structures. 6' x 30'. Should work well and the price is right!

I travel 1971 miles just to GET there.
And, regarding the Kona coffee...I agree.
On the playa, I hope to have Kona coffee bags, if I have to make them myself.

Oh the Ideas http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/zip/3818918791.html Not original at all, but I've always wanted a 4x4 boat.
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

so, shakey evening around here. 5.7 earthquake and some aftershocks. not real close, so just a "novelty" of sound and the house shaking and creaking. But Clyde (wonder dog that he is) was acting so hyper, in the half hour before, we actually commented, wondering "what's with him?".

Morning, YG. Didn't feel it here. Happy that there has been no damage, human or otherwise. Off to spend the day soaking in the hot springs. It's good to play hooky every now and then. We'll be back tonight to enjoy the rest of the long weekend with some tennis, schwag making and checking out the used wind screens that I scored yesterday. Will likely have more than we need, so if you want some let me know.
