oh and I'm landing in LA and transport sorted, I don't have the lady balls to hitch to the playa
You can buy lady balls while in the states, because 'merica.

Choice comment time!

How to use the quote function of the BBS.
1) Look to the right and top of the message.
2) Click the icon that says "Quote"
3) You will now be on the "post a reply" screen with the quoted text per-formatted in BBCode.
4) You may now add whatever text you want.

Things to note:
1) Quoting something that has a quote in it will quote the quote.
2) You can follow the quote of the quote of the quote by looking at the brackets. It'll be in a format like...
[ poster 2 name ] [ poster 1 name ] poster 1 text [ / close ] poster 2 text [ / close ]
...just with fancy stuff done in the brackets.

Well if you wanted a climax I'm sure most of the regulars could oblige.

But if you want it to build up over time, with a healthy amount of pain between then we can continue this by the burn barrel at my camp.

perhaps climax was the wrong word?

:D
Amie, "page 2" refers to a custom we have here. We tend to be cynical with new-comers who display a lack of self-reliance, or other snark-worthy characteristics. We expect people to invest some time reading this board -- which contains a cornucopia of information going back many years -- and reading the main web site, before posting.

We are notorious for snark. But we also feel an obligation to give all questions at least one legitimate answer. So our basic rule is to hold the snark until the question has been answered. This could of course take only one reply, but we have come into the habit of calling it "page 2" -- when it is "fire at will" with the snark cannons.

Of course, I snarked a little on page 1. Gotta be me.

Now.... Welcome!

It is surprising to me that anyone should decide to go to Burning Man without knowing hardly anything about it. The few cases I know of have been disasters -- "tourists", "spectators", detriments to the event. Myself, I built up extensive knowledge and understanding of the event from friends who had been going for years, and from reading every word on the BM web site. After several years of this, I found I "needed" to go. I was ready.

But your way works fine too! What matters is whether the person "is right for" the event ... make that whether the event is right for the person. Burning Man is definitely not for everyone!

So please carry on with your research, which can include participation here on the board. In 2006 I dove in with with my best artistic contributions on the "home threads" of two theme camps, and wound up invited to join them.
Just be aware that we do have some weird habits -- insider slang and such. You will catch on.

As for your tits, we need you to post a picture of them right away.
Seriously, we tend to call them boobies, with due respect.

Again, welcome. Now resume reading. :D

Actually BM has nothing to do with sustainable living - its main activity is recreational global warming, but you can tell your parents anything you like.

I figured the page 2 thang on my own and have been oddly enough looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong the pleasantries have been nice, but speak your minds kids... (yes I said kids and the irony was not lost on me)

I'm noticing a serious lack of tits here on page two.

They don't necessarily have to be yours, just post a nice rack and say they're yours, we wont know the difference.

ok, so without meaning any offense here:

So, as a young, "clueless" noob woman, traveling alone, seems riding with someone named "McStrangle" would set off some sort of alarms.....

You know I did think that, admitedly after I posted, but then I was like,

"we'll I haven't demanded tits, vaguely muderesque forum names aside I can't be half as skeezy as some of the people here"

To be fair the tits really aren't my thing, and the name is from an old Dangermouse cartoon.

....and I can't punctuate for shit.

haha and please no offense intended on my part.....I just thought it sort of funny/ironic that with your screen name, offering a ride to a lone young woman is interesting......

Oh, man. If I ever really want to frighten you guys I'm got to post some Rocky Horror photos.

Back in the day, there was nothing more gratifying than throwing off a cape and hearing someone say "What is THAT."

I'm really disappointed here. Amie-mole sounded like such a sparkle pony in her first post and then she turned out to be cool and self reliant. It sounds like everyone's got snark blue balls.

The real fun with a sparkle pony thread is when someone tries to clue them in and they get all indignant and self righteous. "Where do you get the right to insult me? You're just jealous because I'm pretty and I won't show you my tits". Then there are (predictable) fireworks.

Here's one.... nah, I got nothin'. Good luck Amie, be sure to come to the Eplaya meet n greet 6:00 PM Wednesday at Doc's.
