Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Which could be said about anything in life. I think the ticket team's got a pretty good handle on the situation - last year was the first time all ticket fulfillment was held until summer, and while it took longer than originally anticipated it took about six weeks to get them all out. Six weeks seems like a pretty reasonable estimate, and they'll be starting the process sooner. Those of us who don't get them til the end will still be panicky and anxious, and all those with mailed ticket orders will breathe sighs of relief when they're in-hand.
Last day to get your address change made for ticket orders to be shipped is May 24th - go here and use the form to do that (choose 'Change shipping address on US or Canadian order' from the drop-down).

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
How are we going to work the word "Timestamp" into this thread?
Seriously, They'll probably go by zip code groups like every other mass mailing.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Please don't. It's bad enough with people freaking out and emailing and submitting support requests as it is, no need to make any of that worse.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Are we still able to switch tickets to Will Call if we so desire (or require, I should say), and if so, until when? Due to all kinds of things ranging from work to family emergencies I've been globe trotting this year. The Will Call experience has a LOT of room for improvement IMHO, but it might be necessary I'm afraid. I thought fulfilment was done in June.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Change to Will Call here before May 24th.

It doesn't add a disastrous amount of time to your entrance (judging by the recent reports of ePlayans), and it's much, much better than your tickets going to an old address.

If holiday tickets go out first.......I'll be on holiday until June 13. I hope the post office allows my bf to pick 'em up. Maybe if I give him a copy of my drivers license with a signed note?

You should talk directly to your post office about holding your mail from ____ to ____. People going on vacation do this all the time.pink wrote:If holiday tickets go out first.......I'll be on holiday until June 13. I hope the post office allows my bf to pick 'em up. Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
I did will call last year and it suuuuuuucked. I arrived at probably one of the busiest entrance times, so that was partially my fault but rather than lines it was just a sea of people attempting to funnel towards a window which would periodically come to a hault when there was a ticketing issue. Rather than moving the person to the side to sort out the issue, everything would just stop at that particular window. It took me nearly 90 minutes to get my tickets. My tickets are being mailed to me this year =)clocksnmirrors wrote:i did will call last year. it was a breeze.

Lol, yeah... I was trying to buy two separate tickets from campmates who had extras last year. Both got lost in the mail on the way to them. I finally just decided to buy one in the August (OMG) sale.theCryptofishist wrote:Subject to whatever random disaster may or may not happen...

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Is there anyway to confirm a mailing address after the change of address form is faxed into HQ?
I received a a confirmation from the fax service that the facsimile was successfully transmitted, but I did not receive a confirmation from bm.org noting that the mailing address was changed.

There's an online form you can fill out, or--you can click the link to the ticket support forums/write [email protected].
. . . Is this a situation where you can have US mail forwarding, as backup? You might be able to sign up for that online.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
We sent a change from will call to mail on the 22nd via email to the fax(at)inticketing address indicated on the form, and have not received a confirmation. Are we supposed to ?
Spam folder checked, we got nothing.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
I don't know if you're supposed to receive a confirmation or not (but I know I'd want one).
Please use the link or the email address in my post directly above you. The Ticket Team does not reply on ePlaya, but they have their own contact form, a forum, and an email address.

Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
I was so excited to get through and actually purchase tickets that I hastily typed in my information and mailing address, and low and behold, there was a typo. So a forwarding address doesn't really help since I'm sending the tix to a corrected address. Laughably, I ended up getting a reduced price ticket again for volunteer work so I don't even need the ticket and sold it to a burgin camp mate. It turned into a lot of work for a ticket not personally needed. Oh well, it's a great opportunity to help someone who I know is gonna have the time of their life get some playa.Savannah wrote:Check your spam folders just in case. Wow! I sent the inquiry and received a response within minutes with confirmation of a revised delivery address.

Glad to hear it!
I'm also happy for the virgin to whom you're selling it.

WILL CALL...value added...like waiting in the Gate line...eases you into the chaos of the event and you get to enjoy a little freak show...

Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
Re: 2013 Ticket Mailing
Tickets are being delivered. My Monday was brightened up by getting this! Can't wait!

My tickets just shipped!
And according to the tracking information, yes, a signature is required.

Ticket arrived, in hand, intact.
Nice to see that the envelope is very plain. Sender's address and recipient's name & address. Absolutely nothing to give away that there might be valuable-worth-stealing Burning Man tickets inside.

What's the period the carrier holds the tickets and waits for redelivery? I'm just now seeing there could be a week or so where nobody can receive mine. :-/
