That's where Airport Mailers comes in. You no longer have to leave your possessions behind. Airport Mailers provides everything you need to mail your item home if it can't get past an airline checkpoint.

Airport Mailers is currently in 28 airports coast-to-coast and growing every day. We're the nation's number-one provider of mail-it-home services for travelers like you.

here is the list of airports from their website (it seems like theres only 22 in this list..):

Akron Canton Airport
Boston Logan International Airport
Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Columbus Regional Airport
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
Dallas Love Field
Denver International Airport
El Paso International Airport
Indianapolis International Airport
Jacksonville International Airport
Kansas City International Airport
Las Vegas McCarran International Airport
Orlando International Airport
Pensacola Airport
Greater Rochester International Airport
Raleigh Durham International Airport
Reno Tahoe International Airport
San Francisco International Airport
San Jose International Airport
Will Rogers World Airport, Oklahoma City

im not affiliated with these guys,. and dont know how good their service is.. but i just became aware of it, and it seems like it might come in handy for some of the people traveling to the burn.

thankfully, it looks like both of the airports i will be using are covered by these folks.

That's a pretty cool system, Being someone who carries a knife every day without thinking about it I've had to run back to my car a couple times from security to put it in my vehicle. I imagine there's a premium for the service but it seems worth it vs giving your stuff to TSA. Hopefully it catches on.
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

When I go to my sisters in Mi. I mail a box of what I will need.. One carry on and a Cpap.. They always call me back for an extra search.. But they only glance inside the cpap case.. They are afraid of profiling the disabled..

Mail you shit ahead. It makes the TSA run in circles..

I think I've seen their kiosk at San Francisco (SFO). IF the kiosk I saw was for the same mailer company mentioned above, they are very expensive and delivery time was listed in weeks rather than days. It would really be used for something you forgot you had on your person and wanted to send home rather than lose it at the gate, or send ahead to an intended destination (unless you were going to be there for an extended period of time). Best to check your stuff very carefully before heading out to the airport :D
I can't help it, I'm a born lever-puller.
