Hello, Bar! I got caught in our Pride Parade on my way home this afternoon, and it made me cheer (DC RollerGirls! Yay!) and cry (NIH? those people SERVE). And now there is a huge street party going on outside here, so I am drinking beer & dancing on my back porch.

Yes, it is going to be a BIG crop this spring...already buying jamming supplies. Dang pectin has gone up again, but I did find a place that sells my jars at $9.50 a dozen. $3 cheaper than last year. The weather has been so weird here, but perfect to set up a big spring crop. Hate to do it, but I think I have to hire a picker to help. I am going to check my shipping address list from last year, may need some updates......

Long day of stuff and things, mixed with assorted nonsense. I just finished finally updating our camp web site, I'd been meaning to not only update some of the pics to be in line with the current designs, but also add a lot of copy and overhaul the layout to be in line with the designs we're working on. The update's been long overdue, I'm glad to finally have knocked that out.

Here's hoping your friend's okay, Robbi.

dang, what a day! I'm trashed.......
the graduation ceremony was sweltering.but, all in all, at just about 2 hours, not bad, for 500 ish graduates.
Although, the valedictorian, droned on and on.........narcissistic, rambling with no point or message. Seems we're doomed. hhaaaha

It got well over 100 deg. several people dropped from the heat, luckily EMS folks were right there.

and then, we got back here to my place, and instead of the 30 or so folks, over 100 showed up!! EEK!

I had to scramble to make more furniture (photo's later).......hahaa

good thing I over cooked on the bbq (18 lb turkey, 7 lb pork roast, and 35 lbs. of pork ribs).

well, that's over, now for a day of cleanup.......urgh.....

Sounds like a very productive day, Trilo. Good Papa, YG. The Girl will long remember the event and the role you played in it! Hugs for Robbidobbs, Anti M and MDF. Yesterday at noon it was 87 in San Rafael, and 10 miiles south near the Golden Gate Bridge where we live it was 67. This morning we have a fine misty rain and quite cool. My cat insists on getting in front of the computer screen and playing with my hands with his open claws as I type. He is sort of FOOP (Feline Out Of Place) Going to a Bday party for my grand daughter who is all of 8 years old today.

this last one almost did it, at about 2k lbs, the bobcat was tipping forward as I came across the grass........and then as I'm setting it on the stands, some dope sticks his head and arm under, to adjust something............not telling me!!
luckily, I saw and stopped, said "GTFO", if this slipped or anything, you'll be flat!!

on a brighter note, we just got home from TinkerMom's, after two days of helping with the Dye With Dignity art car, wiring and such... what a fun weekend!!! (also, nice and cool, relatively speaking, up there in the high country.)

Minutes after walking in upon our return, the phone rang, and who was it, but our very own Elliot!!! He assured me that he's as fine as ever, and has been busy with 'life-type-stuff-that-happens', and that the reason we haven't heard from him is his computer has been out of commission since the last day of May. The problem has been pinpointed now, and is on its way to being rectified. Shortly, he'll be back online, and back in here with us all. (I had called on Friday {I think} and he also had just got home when he saw his caller ID. {no message machine})

I, for one, am glad to hear this update!!

that's great Triken!
it really points out, how we should "keep track" of eachother, at least a little. Many of us live alone, and really, could be in poor shape and no one would know for days.
A friend of mine, found a friend of his not so long ago, in the yard, where he died. took a week before anyone thought to go check on him.

It's good to stay in touch.

can't wait to see the Dye mobile.............and well, just a little while till some of us are toasting and chanting and all that, in the high Sierras!!
