Shipping Containers from Colorado to the Playa

Hey out there

Does any one have information about shipping a shipping container to and from the playa?

Is it possible?

Does the company have to have a BLM permit?

Is there a particular company that should be used?

Just looking for as much info as possible

I recommend asking other Colorado Burners (there might be a large container going from Denver or Boulder or somewhere like that). I found these groups on Google.

You might also look up Colorado Burners, Denver Burners, Boulder Burners (or whathaveyou) on Facebook and look under "Regionals" on the main Burning Man website.

This thread might be better in 2013 Shared Resources, 'cause people usually go in together on the expense.

You and the company delivering goods would need to coordinate with Burning Man's outside services folks and they would need a vendor pass. I believe also that the BLM may have some permitting requirements this year, the outside services team can point people (yourself and prospective freight companies) in the right direction.
