Well I showered before a pretty sparse dinner and it's unlikely I'll get more than 3 hours in tonight but I'd still like to enjoy your iteration.

I read a quote from the Dalai Lama that stated, in essence, sometimes not getting what you want is the best thing (paraphrasing) about the same time I experienced a very big disappointment. I'm a week away from it and although a very humbling experience (which is good in and of itself) it turns out I may be on the cusp of a much better opportunity.

TPBM recently experienced a silver lining, of sorts, themselves.

TPB is learning the local mail carriers name this week.

No, I love how fractions look; I think they're elegant. However, for the sake of legibility, I will often use decimals just because I don't want to be irritating.

Bad matings? The "design" of the breeds should be criminal - so many have major health issues due to the genetic factors they're bred to have - flat snouts on pugs & bulldogs cause breathing problems, wrinkled skin on shar-peis can cause skin problems, toy breeds are more likely to have heart problems... Happens to all animals we domesticate to some degree, dogs are just manipulated excessively.

As a Biology major I say; never!
I would however point out that Part of our Evolution includes the manipulation of evolution. The story of domestication is the story of Humanity. We create these altered Biospheres and artificial environments for better and for worse. while it is understandable to be alarmed at our impact on our planet, it is human Ego that allows us to think we are saints or devils. the problems we create are also opportunities to devise solutions that give us skills to attempt further. i'm often dismayed at the negative view we have of ourselves as the Destroyer of our Planet, The universe has seeded this planet with life and at least 3 times has nearly destroyed it; Life however is tenacious.
Humans are not the end of evolution but just the beginning of a better, conscious and technological evolution. The human body is a good beginning, but we can certainly improve it, upgrade it, and transcend it. Biological evolution through natural selection might be ending, but technological evolution is only accelerating now. Technology, which started to show dominance over biological processes some years ago, is finally overtaking biology as the science of life.

Probably a wasteland. We will be blasted bach to the stone age and the survivors will be starting over again. Hope they get it right this time. We won't get many more chances.

Nope, I'm quite fond. Mr. White showed his 7th grade class Zefferelli's Romeo & Juliet when I was a kid, and Leonard Whiting as Romeo was a gorgeous Gateway Drug into the world of Shakespeare. Much Ado About Nothing remains my favorite Shakespearean play, though. I prefer comedies.

The person below me prefers Greek dramas.
