We got a little rowdy tonight, I admit. That's what happens when no ladies are present. The decorum goes straight to hell.

Damn! Why can't y'all dispense with the fucking decorum when we're around?! That's HOT!

Did we lose ZG?

so the burners and beer i was expecting in my front yard tonight never showed up...guess they were on playa-time today, too...

That's not playa-time, that's bad form. Shame on them. Hell, half the Seattle e-playans probably would have made it if it were within 200 miles. On the other hand, I've been in fuck-up mode lately, and I've come that close * hold fingers 1cm apart * to missing dinner with friends. Lydia even.

Yeah, but that job title rings, doesn't it?

Speaking of Lydia: the last time we talked she reminded me how easy it is to yank men around by their dicks. Look at Kristy; she's doing it electronically from hundreds of miles away. Honestly, I thought she was a troll at first. I still wouldn't bet my life against it, but her willingness to meet other burners (live and in person) makes me thinks she's real. I don't intend to be a customer, so I won't feel too much like a fool if she turns out to be invisiblepants or someone like that...

yeah, i got my tech team at the theatre last summer to admit they'd do ANYTHING for sex or beer. it *is* shamefully easy.

i was looking over the first few pages of the bar today...invisblepants was a prick, but it was fun!!

Holy crap do I need a drink. Or two. I just had a heated argument with someone on the outside, then two members of a pissed off 501c3 board of directors came in to complain about something.

H o w e v e r, on the bright side, I just got, not one, but TWO of GE's magic lippie concoctions (smart of me to use my work mailing address) and they are freakin' amazing! I LOVE that GE. You should, too.

Also reading the thread posts since I bowed out to the mother ship last night helped tune my engine. Which reminds me, yesterday I took my truck to have the bumper replaced and an oil change and because I had to wait over an hour longer than the service manager expected, they did not charge me for labor or the oil and filter. So I guess life doesn't suck so much today after all.

did you get an invite to a Mabe's gathering in Ballard? it's so strange, considering this latest reunion.

i just got it yesterday, we were s'posed to rsvp by the 19th and it's tonight. they're shipping in pizza from Mabes's for godssakes. i'm almost tempted to crash that party, just to see.

but it's probably a lot of 70 - something ballardians.. not that they aren't a lot of fun, mind you....

are you fucking kidding me!!!???

They're SHIPPING PIZZA FROM MABE'S???

Holy fuck. What, are they fucking overnighting it? Next day? Hope it's not super-saver 3-day delivery....

I never cease to be amazed....

in Ballard, of all places. Sheesh.

Really, my brain is in no position to wrap itself around that one.

(and no, apparently I wasn't in tight enough with the Mabe's crowd to warrant and invitation)

no, it came from the alumni office. maybe they don't have your new address.

i guess they're shipping it frozen.
maybe we should dress in burner wear and crash it together...
$15 fee? what fee? rsvp? huh?

oh, tempting...

i meant to bring the invite today so i could give ya the details, but plum forgot. well, i can get it on lunch if you need....

It's tonight? I have plans already tonight... heading to the Rebar for a show entitled "Dubya 2000... a political horror"

should be good. And then DJ Riz spins on Fridays...

Still, it's VERY tempting (especially the playawear)... but I can't back out on plans...

I have a really great image of some little decorah high schooler showing up in his dad's old beat up mercury Tempo, with IA plates, delivering some nasty old pizzas... and then being pissed off because the cute little scandanavians in Ballard are too stingy to tip... (I admit, though, that mabe's pizza was damned good).

You need to try a Josephelli's pizza.
Only available here.
Someone had to figure out how to get that much wine into a pizza...

tee hee.

yeah, i have plans, too, but mine are later tonight.
*sigh*
sometimes i'm scared to go to these things. it'd be like going to a high school reunion thing.

plus they're going to talk about luther and how it's growing, or some bs like that.

so, does bob really exist? did we ever resolve that question?

Ummmm... I think so. Yes. In fact, I'm almost sure that Bob does exsist.

Lynn apparently went to Luther last weekend for a visit... she got a bunch of praise, visited Kent Simmons, hung out with Jane, had everyone talk about how amazing she is and how they all miss her like crazy, and now she's written all of us and told us that she's back on track with her life.

I guess we all need support from somewhere...

sure, BHA. thanks.

I stopped in at Luther to see Matt Schulte a year or two ago. It was really good to see Jane, mostly... I look up to her so much. and then she was saying she looked up to me. talk about strange exchanges.

but mostly i found that i still didn't belong there. it was never a very good fit for me. some good experiences, and good memories, but not the place i needed to be.

i left saying 'good to visit, glad i don't live here.'

well, hopefully it was a good thing for Lynn. sometimes there's no telling what you need to get your head straight. sometimes there's no telling what will fuck with your head.

i'd like to go back to speak, perhaps. i'd like to see Jane, and Novian, and Jyothi if she's back. probably because they were very real... not that they're the only ones, don't get me wrong. but there's not a lot of reason to return.

it was what it was, and it was a jumping off point, of sorts.

plus, there WAS nekked soccer.

Tee hee...

*nastolgic sigh*

ahhh, naked soccer... I miss that.... nothin' like seeing a ton of people, running around starkers, chasing after a wet wet soccer ball...

Jane's going to be coming to seattle to teach a workshop, rumor has it... not sure when. I miss her, too... she was always so positive... she had a way of validating everyone's existance.

I miss Bob, but only because he was like a grandpa to me. I also miss Jeff Dintaman... god, he was flicking brilliant.

I know that I would probably be miserable if I went back, even to visit. Especially since Mike from Marty's is gone now. He was such a lovely person. It's just not my place. I mean, there's a good reason I haven't been back to the midwest since I moved out here a year ago. It was a good fit for me, when i was there. I mean, it taught me a lot about myself. Fuck the classes. I learned more about who I WAS. But I can see how it was like a square peg and a round hole for you. You always seemed to be so BEYOND that shit.... I needed it to figure some things out, but you, you already done had 'em figerred...
