I like the smaller fence poles or perhaps conduit, but instead of having horizontal poles and using bungees or ties, I wanted to use poles with the so called grommet spikes on the end. You can buy the fully made poles with these spikes that fit through the grommets, but I'm all about DIY and would prefer to buy bulk fence poles or conduit and cut to fit.
Does anyone have a source for inserts that create these spikes on the ends that go through the grommets or has anyone fabricated such. I can think of some pretty easy ways to make them with big dowels and metal rods, but idea are welcome. thanks
