I think this is a good place to put this, but if someone has advice on another place i can put this or has any experience sharing RV's in the past, please do tell.
My friend has backed out we were sharing the RV, so I'm opening it out to the wider burning community.
Would be sharing with two 1st timer friends, girl and a guy coming from London. I am very experience festival goer, who now works many UK festivals and am shortly going to attend my 10th Glastonbury, 5th working there. She's pretty experienced too.
I have the RV for 12 days but will prorate it for the BM if you want, so only have to share the 24th to the 30th as I want to leave on the Sunday and spend 2 days by lake Tahoe. Its a class C large. Google search for a floor plan of the night and day.
I am looking for two people, there is a couch bed as well as the 3 doubles, but two close friends or a couple to share a double would be a the best solution. Take note of the bed sizes with regard to your own height.
Cab Over: 57in x 96 in (1.45m x 2.44m); average clearance: approximately 28.5in
Dinette: 39in x 65in (0.97m x 1.73m)
Rear: 60in x 74in (1.52m x 1.88m)
Sofa/Couch: 42in x 68in (1.06m x 1.72m)
My preference is for people from the UK because we can meet up before the event but I am open to all.
Sharers should be willing to help prep (sticky back plastic) the RV and share all aspects of the rental.
I am happy to drive, I've been driving 14 years, but if someone can also drive it that would be great. Not sure about liability so would have to look at how that could work.
We fly into SFO on the 22nd Aug and pick up the RV at 10:30 on Sat 24th. Drive to Reno on the 24th and head in on Monday morning as I don't fancy driving down that narrow road in the dark. Leave Sunday morning.
Please PM me for much more detail if your interested.

That's what I thought (the experience bit) before I went for the first time and our mate James Browne (name dropped in case you know him from Glasto) has just worked out that BM is quite different.SunrayU75 wrote: I am very experience festival goer, who now works many UK festivals and am shortly going to attend my 10th Glastonbury, 5th working there. And not just that it's full of yanks.
My advice (ad nauseum I know) is to read all the survival guides etc.especially the RV one although it sounds like you're on that already.
Other thing is that 2-3 is perfect for one of those RVs!
Good luck
Re: Have RV reserved, looking to share, San Fransisco
If i can't get someone to share, I may well have to lose the deposit and tent it as I don't think I want to pay for the RV on my own. I can go to Thailand and live there very well indeed for 3 months for the money I'd spend in a week.
I am looking at the Hexayurt as an alternative. In combination with a camp theses look ace. I have a old friend in San Fransisco, it may well be a goer if he has somewhere to make the parts. Rent a 2WD SUV.

Unfortunately the deadline for paying for the RV arrived and with no interest in sharing it up to then I had to make a call, pay for it in full myself or cancel it. The 45 day penalty cancellation is this week so my loss would have escalated.
I am now RV less.

Heeeey! Are you still looking for a rideshare to the burn? We have a spare space in ours leaving from San Fran on Saturday 24th, staying at the burn until the Monday morning then spending a couple of days in Tahoe on the return : ) Pm me if interested! we are 4 people from the UK, ages from 28 to 35, working in events/ arts/ design- myself, and three male friends (single and a couple). A couple of us have been to buringman a few times before. We have a camp arranged whilst at the burn and have a 4th person joining us in the RV there, but we maybe able to accomodate you at the burn if we can okay it with the camp in advance : ) Gem
