actually, there are a lot of nights that a few of us are *sitting here in the bar* and *nursing actual drinks at home* and getting plastered and all funny and shit. but a formally planned, everyone better fucking be there kind of shindig sounds FANTASTIC.

and i was kinda getting bored with the intimate-details-of-Luther-people-I-don't-know, too....

Also, I would love to *takes sip of Simard* but it might be off from being open for so long so would you *describes* simard as a mouton type or lafite type of bordeaux.
Stuart! I thought you might *kick my ass* for last night. Nice to see you. No, I don't have a clue how Simard might be grouped. I just was working my way through the Bordeaux at a friend's tiny wine shop and it kinda grabbed me. Old-fashioned tastes, I guess. As much as I love claret, it has never worked for me on the playa. Dunno why. In BRC I am a beer and Rockstar kind of guy.

So Stuart, are you going to renounce all responcibility for the existence of chickenfish, or are you a parent as well?

could you guys take the Luther reunion action to another thread or PM? Just a civil request.

Just a civil reply: just as in a real bar, there are some conversations that a person just doesn't want to take part in. And, just in a real bar, you are free to leave at any time. Hell, you don't even need to wait around to pay your tab here.
Hey!!! Babe!!! - watchit throwing folks out of The Bar w/o proprietess' consent!!!!

GE, I hear ya but the analogy does not quite carry. In a real bar I have the option of ignoring people and their conversations. Due to the linear nature of this bar, if we want to keep up, we have to read everything. That is why I requested it. That is why we have more than one thread on the eplaya. Anyway, it was just a request.

BHA

dude, I did not want to kill ya. I was laughing my head off when you

*flips stuart the bird*

I thought that shit was fucking fantastic.

Mouton is very heavy/meaty. Lafite is more subtle and more acidic.

how would you decribe the Simard?

and I totally agree with your playa drinking. I go through about a half bottle of heavy red every night but just can't bear it on the playa.

you know, stu, we could disband with the eplaya shit altogether. i mean, for godssakes, we might stumble upon a conversation we're not involved in (unless we choose to involve ourselves)

well, i guess we could just close down 'general discussion' altogether.

because certainly we shouldn't talk politics (heard that a million times)
baseball should be outlawed
any talk about regional events has got to go...
innuendo should be kciked out..
especially woodrow

this is the goddamn bar.

and fuck off (is the new i love you) yourself.

I am gonna have to give that a try.

doing eplaya from anywhere but work just seems so wacky to me though.

yeah...i was never the type to sit at home online, but since my neighbor/best friend has been away a lot and i'm trapped at home once my kiddies are in bed, this is the next best thing to hanging out in a real bar.

Which leaves open the possibility of your being a third mother, I suppose.

fuck sake woman, it was just a fucking request. How often do we see folks drift a thread to such an extent that someone finally just fucking spawns a new thread?

I never said not to talk about it or to close down general discussion or stop talking politics or any such horse shit.

we shouldn't talk politics
has it's own thread
baseball should be outlawed
ibid
any talk about regional events has got to go...
has it's own fucking folder

So how's about this,

lets start a new thread and call it

Rian and Stuart call eachother names and generally piss each other off

so we can spare the rest of these lovely people the bullshit

better yet, call up and do it in person.

the point, darlin, was not that i'm averse to the idea... but that everyone is always skimming here, because of thread drift or whatever.
i'm damn sure not everyone wants to read about Zoo's woodrow, but he doesn't have his own thread.
part of being in an online community like this is being somewhat selective about what you read.
the politics, sweetie, was because we're always hearing that from people (before the politics thread became dead since it's just Joel posting articles)

if you want it that bad, we can surely create it. though i betcha by the time we need it again it'd be so hard to find that we have to do it here in the bar anyway.

and actually, i've had enough arguing for the last days.
it's making me a BIT prickly, if you haven't noticed.
i'd rather log off.

Oh! I see.

Yeah, that's me. I work in a huge retail store, with big plateglass windows. I sit at the desk, and passersby get to ogle me.

woo hoo.

sorry... a few cobwebs still lingering in my head...
