Looking for 2 ppl to share our RV with

Hey guys,

We are looking to share our RV with some nice and friendly people.

We have 2 (possibly 3) spaces in our RV. Currently there are 2 of us, 1 girl and 1 guy, both 27, not a couple. The RV can sleep 5 people but we are just as happy if its just 4 people. But if you are a group of 3 we would be happy for that as well.

We have it from Sunday August 22nd until Tuesday September the 3rd.
One catch- we pick up in LA and drop off in San Francisco. If you can't make it to LA we could pick you up on the way to BM on Sunday 22nd.
It would be great if all have driving licenses so we can change driver every now and then.

The RV is very modern with all the essentials like shower, toilet, fridge, kitchen, oven etc.

We haven't decided on a camp yet, but there are a few options open. If you guys are in a camp but looking for an RV, that's cool and we will be happy to join your camp. If you guys don't want to stay in a camp - that is cool too, we'll just create our own camp Most importantly is that we find some great people to share it with.

She is Swedish from Stockholm, he is English from London. We are very open minded, super happy and easy going people. Looking for similar type of people. Please send a PM for details.

Just a note: never believe what they say an RV will sleep. A 5 person RV is 3-4 people max, and only 4 if there's at least one really stable couple who aren't going to be causing drama by Thursday.

Any more than that and you are asking for a less-than-perfect week. Make sure you google "ePlaya + RV" to look for threads on cleaning the RV, on house-rules for the RV, and on ways to make your stay more pleasant.

Note: DO NOT USE THE RV TOILET! Just don't. You will regret it when your home smells like a toilet by Tues. In our RV we generally start allowing night-time peeing on Thurs or Friday (depending on which day we leave - Thurs if we leave on Sat, Fri if we leave on Sun). Unless someone is deathly ill, never let them use that bathroom for anything other than peeing.

Double-plus on this. usually the booth/table thing turns into the final bed; don't use it unless you absolutely have to! Not only does it almost always completely suck, it's a hassle to change from booth/table config to bed config and back each day. Also, buy a hanging key lock-box and attach it somewhere to the outside of the RV; you're not going to be given enough keys to go around, so rather than have people take the keys with them, buy a lock-box and put the key in it; as long as everyone knows the 4-digit code you don't need to worry about losing keys or having them wander off.

Bring a small tent and some sleeping bags just in case. Set it up as a plan-B, the shag-shack, reading room, whatever.

Just because the strangers you'll probably regret sharing your RV with - especially if you aren't all familiar with RVs - have driver's licenses, that doesn't mean they are on the RV's insurance. Your rental policy probably will list the specific allowable drivers.

And yes, the extra beds in RVs are the couch and dinette, which is a royal pain in the ass when there's nowhere to sit because someone is sleeping, or nowhere to sleep because someone is sitting.

Be very aware of the stranger housemate who isn't fully familiar with RVs. They will do you a favor by washing all the dishes - and running all your fresh water down the drain into the holding tank.

By the way, all your RVs wouldn't smell so bad if you used the goddamm chemicals you're supposed to put in your holding tanks!

Haha thanks very much for all of your helpful tips. You are absolutely right - no fun when someone is sleeping on the table - sitting in the bed. So max 4 would be ideal I think.

Did not know about the RV Toilet Policy.
+1 on "RV Sleeps x" being a lie. I think our says sleeps 8 but we are 3 (+ some last minute guests I'm sure)
