I've been thinking about starting a thread. More specifically, writing a weekly column - "Sensei's E-Playa Week in Review". It would have all the latest news, sports, weather and entertainment news - as pertains to the e-playa, of course. Basically, I'm planning to repost (with appropriate credits and mentions) various posts that have caught Sensei's eye over the past week. You gotta admit, some of the best stuff just gets buried so quickly and is easily missed. Especially for those, unlike myself, who have actual lives and can't find the time to read every damn word posted here.

I can just hear the disapproval from, well, I won't name names. Fuck it, and more importantly, fuck them. I'm gonna run with it.

So, why am I telling you this? Just so I can say you've been warned.

All though I think it's a good idea, if you post it on this board what will prevent it's pollution and thread drift causing the same items of interest to be buried again before people with lives could read them?

Well, there's nothing to prevent that, actually. I'm thinking I'd post once a week, and then you guys will post to say what an idiot I am. I don't imagine this thread getting tons of traffic. It will slide down the list pretty quickly; until I resuscitate it again the following week.

I'd put more thought into this, but that's so not me. Head first in the deep end, baby!

I like it!!! I can't believe how many hours go to die catching up on some o these threads...'course then we'd all have to trust your judgement to tell us what we'd missed. You'd be like the e-media...and all the conspiracy theorists would just read it all anyway and not trust your "spin". hmmmm...actually, I think the best part would be your commentary!

I think I'll keep it in this thread rather than start a new one; and it would be more of a "my personal favorite post(s) of the week" than anything else. I want the authors' words to do the talkin'.

It'll be highly subjective and completely and totally unfair; kind of like an art grant. bada-BOOM!

Ok, the first one was free...

No, no, no. It will NOT be Sensei's personal crush thread. I do enough of that already, I'm sure you'll agree. For another thing, I'm not going to start a whole thread for this. I think I'll keep it here in the Idle Chat thread. The posts I pick to repost (say that 3 x fast) will be chosen because they 'tickle my fancy', that's it. If some whackjob posts how he wants to bring his cat to BM and carry it around "in one of those things they use to carry babies on the front', guess what? We have a winner. Some undoubtedly will be chosen because they made me say, "Aha!', but mostly the winners will be the ones that made me think or laugh.

Budding? I'd say he's in full bloom. But here's the thing: he's an equal opportunity curmudgeon. Look at how he bitched at Rian and GuinivereElise for going on and on about that cow college. At least he shows no favorites. And his post qualified for the first column!

I mean, I asked nicely.
I didn't say

show some consideration and start another goddamned thread for fucks sake

I did not even think it. Well, not before I got hazed.

You will not escape Sensei in '05, Stuart. I was right by Hi! camp several times and feel like a dork for not barging(sp?) in and introducing myself. Self-presevation, maybe? Naaah. But, next year I'll develop more spine.

I've studied the records of previous attempts, and I estimate it'll take at least six (6) of us to get stuart there. One for each appendage, and one to gag him. We can untie him at the party. Last year, four (4) wasn't enough...

Well, it's turned into a kind of tradition. I'd like to point and laugh, but I missed it last year, too (as did Rian!).

We could, and will, do better.

it was freaky anti-gettingmyasshandedtomebydust behavior.

I was on the side that got pounded M-T-W. The side opposite from me, the M&G side got pounded on Thursday. I was through with that shit. I got a weather report from Dougal Dutch. He told me it was nasty over there.

And for me it was freaky anti-gettingmyasshandedtomebyWINDbehavior.

I was on the side that took it in the teeth wind-wise Tue-Wed (lifting my rebar-ed canopy up in the air - with me hanging from it!). And when all the dust that had blown us from behind started to blow back in our faces, I also was done with that shit. I've already apologized for this; it's just so damn embarrassing.
