I miss being relied upon. and I doubly miss being ballsy enough to extend myself for human support.

I miss the dirt.
And talking on a bullhorn.
Ah, heck...
I just love the smell of effluvium in the morning...
It's the smell of VICTORY!
I got the BEST fucking job on the Playa!

I miss rolling out of my tent with a lit cigar and a cup full of beer. Best breakfast.
Re: You know what I miss?
I miss having My coffee ready when I get up. Yes, I have a camp mate who has coffee ready BEFORE he wakes Me. (counting down the weeks now)

I miss my peeps! And the goofy grin I wear almost all the time on the playa. I'm never so happy as at the burn.
I'm not a slut, I'm good time floozy!
Re: You know what I miss?
I miss the general atmosphere. I miss the feeling that I'm in a magical place for 10 days of every year. I miss being surrounded by people whom I trust a great deal more than a similar sample of people in the default world.

I miss waking up in my tent, dazed and elated, pulled from sleep by the amazing possibilities of another day in BRC.
Sipping coffee in filtered sunshine, knowing I have no idea what fantastic things I will find today.
Dancing in the dust.

Hugging all you wonderful people.

Besides the 70s?
I miss waking up to the sound of distant techno music through a dusty sunrise,
from my 1995 Ford F150 with a fire engine red camper shell.

I miss some of the more "biting" snark we used to have here........it was a little more "edgy".......friendly and all, but you sort of had to run a "gauntlet" at times.
I'm not good at snark, but some here are/were "Masters".
Always enjoyed watching them ply their trade, even when it was directed at me.

I miss the sensation of coolness when I step out of my warm tent in the morning. I miss the expectation of laughter, and amazement, from that moment.

I miss...
Walking around at night. Totally lost and loving it.
The feeling of 'no time constraints'.
Hugging a stranger and telling them, "Welcome home".
Riding my bike through the city admiring peoples ingenuity.
Riding out the windstorm with a smile under my facemask.
Riding my bike through the city after the storm to view spectacular failures.

I miss lacking cell reception.
I miss going dancing in the 4pm sunshine with a champagne buzz.
I miss waking up and having not the least idea what the day will hold.

Re: You know what I miss?
I miss the drive on 447 from I-80. I have some special beats on my ipod that I play during this last pull before I get home.
I miss seeing the Burningman sign as I turn off 34 and enter the playa.
I miss parking the rv at our camp spot, flinging the door open, and seeing my "space" that is to be my home for 10 days.
I miss going out with the girl on the first night, getting to the esplanade, ang gazing out at our city.
Fuck it.
I miss everything....

I miss seeing the friends I only see once a year at burning man.
I miss waking up to the new day and making new friends.
I miss My blood pressure being low.
I miss getting a daily hug, no matter who thinks I deserve one.
Yes, I miss it all and I'm pretty much packed!

I miss how simple and fun it was going to cheap thrills and buying a ticket to the burn.

I miss the feeling of completing our build, and the first celebratory Bud Light that follows.
I miss seeing my monkey huts kick the wind's ass and keep on ticking.
I miss riding a cruiser to the porta pottie in my boxers.
I don't miss pounding rebar, which is why I'm going with Figgy's 14" lag screw idea this year. woot!
I guess I just miss my friend, Andy Dufresne.
