First-times from Sydney, Australia looking to share an RV
Hello Burners!
We are a group of three (two guys, one girl) from Sydney, Australia (but originate from the UK) going to our first Burning Man Festival this August. We are 27-30 years old, professionals. We are super friendly and fun!
We can't find an RV/Camper anywhere, so we are looking to find another group to team up with - and share the costs of the RV hire, fuel, etc.
We get to LA on Saturday 24th August, and then plan to go leave from there or San Francisco. Ideally we would like to travel on to Las Vegas afterwards but can make alternative arrangements if necessary.
Who are we?
- Respectful and super friendly
- Fun and social
- Clean and tidy
- Happy to share in costs - gas etc
- Open to meeting new people and chatting with anyone
Please PM us and we can organise a time to call.
Pete, Jo and Arron

I'm moving this over to the Share Resources board, since that's a better fit for ride and RV share posts. Feel free to circle back to the Greeter's Station and post an introduction if you like.
With most RV's only having 4 people in them, 3 people isn't really looking to share so much as take it over. You may want to look into renting a vehicle yourselves, and then depending on the size of the vehicle offer up any remaining space as a share to others. That way you'd also have the benefit of being able to travel when and where you wanted.

What Trilo said... 3 fills an RV unless it's a monster.
Did you use one of the reseller search engines?
I found RVs in LA - albeit expensive and needing an availability check
San Diego which works as you cannot pick up on the day you fly in (2 hour bus ride $25/ train ride$37) and cheaper you would make you travel $ back quite quickly.
Check your PM for links - the 'next' button to move through pages is grey and hard to see I went through a couple of pages before finding anything

Fuck! Your gonna have to buy and pitch a tent like the 30000 or so other participants!

Just camp and have the best time of your life. Its not that hard to do as long as you do your home work
on it. Enjoy and be one with the dust.

What trilo said.
4 ppl in a small RV sounds like as much fun as 3 people in a 4 person tent. If an RV is a make or break deal you may want to reconsider. Rather than squeezing a bunch of ppl in a small space you may want to build a yurt or buy a couple nice sized tents and live comfortably.

Sorry I think my last post was a little misconstrued not to sound rude but it was an offer for a lift back to Vegas not a place to crash. That said if you wanted to put tents outside and have the use of fridge. Ac. Toilet etc it could be a possibility

Glad you clarified.
Still generous, to offer a ride & a little AC!
Be careful about let people do anything more than pee in your toilet. A lot of the practiced RV users here barely use their own, much less offer it to multiple folks.

The porta potties. AKA JotS, the Blue Rooms, and I've forgotten what other names they have.
Which are, after all, cleaned out two to three times a day. All the smelly stuff sucked up, never to bother you again. (Let us thank, again, the wonderful guys who do this for us.) And hosed out. Where the line is a nice social experience--you never know whom you'll meet! With pottie and BED posters. I'm sorry, I didn't have lunch, so I'm a bit out of it. HOwever, United Site Services provides a much better option for excrement and urine than Cruise America can dream of.

* They're strolling down the block to use the portapotties, which are cleaned 2+ a day. (They're the best portos of any event I've ever seen.)
* Peeing into 100 oz laundry containers (and if ladies, using pee funnels too) and dumping those in the portapotty urinals once a day.
* Peeing inside at night/when needed suddenly; peeing elsewhere for day.
Using your RV toilet is said to be okay by some, if 1) the RV is on the newer side, with good seals 2) well-maintained with the right chemicals 3) pumped out at the event, by pre-arrangement (recommended) or flagging down a truck. It also helps if you're not trying to house as many people as the RV manufacturer claims it can sleep.
Poop at your own risk.

Hi guys did you find a Rv yet? Would you like to share one with my bf and I. We are Brazilians that live in San Diego, the same age of you.
Let me know so we can talk better.
Thanks.

If you are still looking for someone to share your RV call me 267-339-2483. I am easy to get along with and am just looking for a place to live. I do not have a problem paying my share.
