Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Re: MY FAVORITE VIDEO (TODAY) IS...
Interesting, tatonka, and it reminds me of one of the interesting changes since the 1860s as well.
Back in those days, cowboys out west carried handguns in their holsters.
Though the dress has changed a little, many cowboys who herd on horses still wear chaps, cowboy boots, stiff jeans, spurs, and colorful shirts.
But in their holsters, they carry cel phones.
It gives the phrase, "I'm a callin' you out" a whole new meaning.
Instead of a showdown at noon in the town square, probably somebody herding on a 4-wheeler needs someone on horseback to round up a few strays on terrain the 4-wheeler can't handle.
The American cowboy, a derivative of spanish vaqueros, after the Civil War gave the western US a whole new perspective.

Not only does this re-purpose perhaps the dumbest "80's wacky chase hijinks" scene i've ever seen... that damn chorus is going to be stuck in my head while riding around the playa.

Re: MY FAVORITE VIDEO (TODAY) IS...
This has been one of my favorites for the last few days. Aside from the badassery of the performance and the stage show, the band came up with a really awesome concept for their stage shows. They cooked up the notion of the "Bank Of Muse" and designed their own faux currency that contained a URL to the Facebook app, and invited fans to deposit footage they shot at the band's stadium gigs into the bank. The band's webmasters and minions would collect and then edit the footage they get together into 'fan eye' videos, which they would then post as free withdrawals/dividends. The currency was then distributed at the shows (I'm guessing it was blasted into the crowd spectacularly using confetti cannons).
