Meet Beezus Christ, Super Car!

Hey everybody! I wanted to introduce you to Beezus Christ, Super Car.

Born in the land of Dust and Honey, Beezus comes before you bringing sweet salvation. He is here to shelter you from the sin and suffering rampant in the city of Black Rock. As you wander lost through the desert, he offers you his flesh and blood in the form of honey and mead. Beezus has come to save you. He does not judge you.

But Really. Beezus is a giant bee art car that will be spreading the gospel and offering honey and mead to weary travelers. We may force you to join our cult and accept Beezus into your life. But hey, it's a fair trade right?

Here's a recent picture of our build process. He's on the base of a Taylor-Dunn utility cart. Pretty burly!

Wow! That looks like a nice start to a beeutiful MV smallfry! It appears to me that the driver will be perched up on top perhaps? Am I seeing that right? At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing it on the playa! I'll hustle on over if I do!

I lifted up the hood and unchecked the 'disable bbcode' checkbox for you. The photo still doesn't come up, probably because Facebook is a really lousy place to embed images from. I should imagine the only people who can see the image are people who are connected to you as friends and are logged into the site. You may want to consider posting/hosting images on sites like tumblr or imgur.

Looks like an awesome project, I've been following along on FB for a while. Good luck!

I'm a builder/wrench turner/mechanical minded guy - and I'm impressed!
I love the up-top driving position, as if you're riding on the bee's back. It will look perfect.
There will be a big white boat chasing your bee down to check it out in person in a few months!

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I'm not the most computer savvy. I'll post more pictures via our blog to show the progress! And yes- the driver is indeed on top! We're finishing up the steering reroute in another week or two- just needs a little more adjusting!

Awesome MV! We also use a Taylor Dunn burden carrier. Great vehicle except it tends to run out of juice by the time it gets across the playa. All the better reason to get out and party while it charges! Can't wait to see the Beezus Christ, Super Car!
