Thanks Guinivere, and I don't mind the Luther talk a bit, I find it kind of enlightening since I have a friend or two that alumni.

I had another friend that opened up a café down town Decorah in the 80s, never new what happened to her.

Do you know which cafe it was?

And thanks... I must say, I'm feeling a bit stifled now... Trying not to, knowing that I shouldn't, but am, all the same.

Cafe D closed since I was there... but it must have been a fairly recent close...

some killer parties in that place, though. and the apartments above were really nice; very big, with lovely brick walls...

I kind of think they may have sold it earlier too. I have a faint memory of trying to look her up when I was on a " road trip " and not having much luck.

The Rian and Stuart Venting Thread

It's kind of like having a bar fight spill out into the street.

Any e-rangers on the e-playa. Or do we have to call out admin? And if there are any full on boo-boos do we call out the e-paramedics?

(I'm giving myself another e-headache.)

I love the bar thread

*takes long ponderous drag on cigarette*

*exhales*
here's a quiz

did you think I meant that or that I was being sarcastic?

*sips deep red/purple wine*

I honestly meant it. So, if you chose the other answer perhaps you think I am more of a nasty bastard than I actually am. I would ask Rian to verify but perhaps she has amended her opinion.

I saw that, Rian. Maybe it's because we're short.

Hey, there's an idea. Maybe we just need to talk about {that thing we're not supposed to talk about} at knee level. You know, down where we shorties are. That way, all those tall folks won't have to be bothered by our conversation going on down here....

I say, without a bit of sarcasm, examine the pattern and determine the common component.

I like small... small works for me... I like worming my way in... except for tequila bottles, of course. I don't fit...

Hey, I'm supposed to get off at 6:15, bartender, could you reserve a spot at the bar and a couple of PBR's for me? Appreciate it.
