Coming out for the first time, still working on the logistics of the trip itself. Looking for friends to make here first, and meet up with when we get there to show us the ropes of this whole new culture.
Party within the bounds of the law, nothing hard and nothing heavy. But willing to break the rules within reason for the sake of a good time. Definitely an odd couple regarding what we are drawn to and looking for an eclectic mix regarding our first BM experience! Look forward to see you all in two months!
Two Texas Virgins
Re: Two Texas Virgins
Hi TxSummer!
Welcome. If you haven't read the Survival Guide a few times, go nuts! That'll show you a lot of ropes right there, and give you a beginner packing list. And of course, we have info for days here on ePlaya. Google a keyword + ePlaya if you don't find what you want via category or the Search tool.
There are lots of Texas Burners. Try this link, and check Facebook as well. A rudimentary search shows me there's a North Texas Facebook group, for example.

Incidentally--you won't need to put "willing to break the rules within reason" on a camp application. Camps/groups generally fall into 3 categories: 1) entirely sober, as a selling feature 2) a clearly-stated alcohol-but-no-drugs policy, or 3) whatever, but keep it to yourself--do all your jaywalking and disturbing the peace in your own tent, not in the shade structure where hardworking law enforcement officers are hoping to strike night-vision gold.
Camps will tell you if they're straight edge. If you ask how liberal they are, however, they may assume you're undercover.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome! Where about in Texas? We are in Fredericksburg.

You know Fredericksburg, right? The gateway to Luckenbach. Literally.
