I am Ice House, me and my merry band of psychonauts are coming to you from the Pacific Northwest, honoring and celebrating the mushroom and everything about it. We pay homage to the mushroom and the roles that the mushroom plays in our lives in religon, art, music, and folklore.

MushLove is a registered theme camp comprised of 50 souls, 50/50 seasoned vets and virgins. I am a 3 time burner and this is my first time leading a camp. I am really excited about the opportunity to bring MushLove to the playa. MushLove is a project that has been around in our community for about a year now. MushLove isnt just a theme camp or an art project, MushLove is a way of life.

I hope that some of you manage to find your way into our little corner of the playa and share some MushLove with us. The main attraction of our camp is a 30' v4 7/12 dome called the Temple of the Shroom, or TOS. TOS houses the centerpiece of our camp wich is an 8' tall wood carving of two mushrooms entwined in MushLove. The sculpture was carved from a Blue Spruce tree that was excavated from the ground root mass and all! It is a beautiful work of art that you must see!

So, it says that the picture's been viewed 39 times. What do you suppose the number of cops has been?

Well, I would imagine it would not be a healthy place to be around if you were holding.

Would be funny as hell if they offered shittaki or some other food type mushroom to anyone who asked for some shrooms though.

I'm not. "Fish can't carry guns." And that is why I was sent down from the Academy...

I'm a mushroom lover and gourmet mushroom grower. While I would love to be a part of a mushroom camp, even I think this is sort of risky.... and I'm a virgin.

Probably could've been Ok had you not used the term 'psychonaunt', OP.

Why would it matter if Law Enforcement Officers view this? Is there something illegal about the picture.

Is there something illegal about promoting cognitive liberty?

MushLove does not advocate any illicit activity at all, nor will we condone or tolerate illegal activity in our camp.

Not at all. We're joking about the great attentiveness of law enforcement, and the possibility that--because of your motif--they may assume you're up to something even if you're not.

One year, some friends of ours put their heads near one another at a rave and a couple of undercover officers swooped in as my friends shared some lip balm that one of them was wearing on a lanyard.

"It's CHAPSTICK!" my friend said . . . as other ravers scampered away.

Hopefully you won't get propositioned left and right by hopefuls and cops. It's a pretty statue.

Do you post on The Shroomery, mushlove?

We were throwing the idea around about making a mushroom themed camp, but even there, it was agreed upon that it was a terrible idea due to the high likelihood of unwanted LEO attention.
I'd rather do what I'm gonna do at a place that doesn't scream for LEO to come try some sly techniques....

I would love to come and hang out with you folks, though. If I'm welcomed to.

I was born into a family that picked wild mushrooms, I have been picking and eating gormet mushrooms my entire life. I love everything about mushrooms. I thought long and hard about this. Mushrooms are a big part of my life. I decided to express my love for the fungus through art, music, and dance. Hence, MushLove!

MushLove is just another camp that is going to be swallowed up in the craze and mania that is the playa. There are allot bigger camps, and villages for that matter, that are allot more about questionable acyivity than we are.

If law enforcement decides to watch us they are gonna get bored real quick.

problematic for who?

we have 50+ members in our camp, many of them seasoned paya veterans, not one of them have a problem with it.
we are all proud of the wonderful space we are creating for our fellow burners to celebrate with us.

I feel sorry for those who find it problematic. Its kind of rediculous...

I, too, am an avid mushroom hunter and aficionado.
My original idea was to do a workshop teaching folks how to do their own grow, using a hearty oyster stain to use as a teaching medium..

If you are amushroom lover MushLove is a must experience. I dont visit the shroomery, sorry. I have been there before looking around but thats about the extent of it.

I think theCryptofishist's point is that between your camp's name and the description you've posted on a public message board (one that is read by law enforcement), you may have given them probable cause for additional scrutiny at any time of day or night.
