Took delivery of two Mongoose Beasts, and got my heart broken so I really only need one. Now that's playa prep.

Oh that sucks... but not much can fix it better than going to Black Rock City. Things will be better when you get there!

New camera. New cap. Awesome costumes purchased. Hilarious day had with burner buddies. I think that's enough for one day.

No, it won't. I've gone to BRC in about every possible personal-affairs condition: with a girlfriend, without girlfriend, unattached, and even recently-unattached (and not happy about it).maladroit wrote: Better than now...but every good thing will have a shadow cast on it because I would have wanted to share it.

The playa always provides. It's the best possible place to go in your situation. Things there will work out, usually better that your thought.

Could be worse, could be forced to take Justin bieber with you and you have to drive cross country with him.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
spent all afternoon rewiring the headlights and taillights , added some tow lights just to get it home . Will pick it up tommorrow , my friend thinks you should lift it evenly staight up and drive under. I mentioned bringing the front up and leaving the rear on the horse, then getting the truck under then lift the rear, he never heard of it. It seems safer so ill go with that.

Better seat and some practice driving on shell drifts and mucky sand. It'll do nicely on playa, probably won't even notice the soft patches.

Buddy of mine cut 2 half inch extensions apart and welded them to each other. So he uses that to do the same thing but with an electric impact wrench.tatonka wrote:got my free camper todaygot it home and off truck . Truck ran smooth at 50mph on hwy

Pain in ass hand screwing jacks so at home I reversed a .5 drive extension and put it a drill and got them down close to the ground and finished with the hand cranking.
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

I've got the chocolate milk version from Costco.Very tasty. If my friends' kids find out I was at Costco and didn't bring them a carton, they look at me like they were betrayed.VultureChow wrote:Costco has the Horizon organic single serve shelf stable milk in boxes.

Disappeared for a number of months. Saw $12 cartons going for $50 on ebay.
Happy to see it back.

That's one word I regret googling during breakfast.
.
Video games are giving kids unrealistic expectations on how many swords they can carry.

, but don't harm the red dragon that frequents the area from time to time. He and I have an agreement.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
Mentioned to my wife that when we put up the camping gear later today to remind me to pull down my Burning Man tent just to verify the footprint. She says why so early, Burning Man isn't until August. I say that's next month. The look on her face was one of shock. Time flies when you are having fun.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Picked up the dash panel from a Model A (Ford).. Now to mount it in the ape hanger bike handle bars..Compass for the gas gauge. outside temp where the car temp was, Amp gauge( for the sound system ) and ignition switch ( for the pusher trailer.
On a Model A, The panel board set back to back with the gas tank.. the gas tank had a flouting ball. You could see how much gas you had.. The was at the top.. On the left was the amp meter.. On the right was water temp.. At the bottom was the ignition switch..

I don't know if you have these stores in your fair city, but Fred Meyer, QFC and Kroger have sold the Horizon Farms boxed milk. For back-to-school, they frequently sell it for $1 per box. The juice aisle is the first place I check, then sometimes the organic section. Dairy is actually the last place I look, but sometimes it's there, too.theCryptofishist wrote:Whole Paycheck has it, too, or has had it, but I don't shop anymore for their attempts to dodge giving their employees health care.
Fuck Whole Paycheck.
I pack (premixed, liquid) Carnation Instant Breakfast also, in case I get tired of cereal ('cause sometimes I do). I chill it in the cooler.
Breakfast milkshake, nom, nom, nom.
