Cryptofishist: how about a geodesic dome, about 15 feet or so in diam? Lots of headroom and very sturdy. They can also be assembled by one person from a chair if you pack a jib pole and a hand winch. Given just one helper it becomes a snap, and Helper could be in a chair too.
PM me please if you want some details.

I was thinking about the Kodiak or springbar. The entrance is not flush to the ground which might make it unworkable with the chair. This on the other hand has the height and the entrance flush to the ground. I assume you could pound a straight piece of rebar in the center to slip the center pole over for some additional stability.
Good find! I own 2 of one of their smaller tents (the single pole wigwam--one dusty one, and one clean one!) and am very happy with them. Easy to put up, and hardier than I imagined. Mine has windows that zip; this one has ones that appear to roll up and down, so spring clamps & fleece would probably be needed for the mesh at minimum; possibly sewing or outdoor GOOP. But it might be nice to leave two windows maybe just clamps-only, so that the option of opening them would remain.
This one might be a worthy experiment.

I thought it wasn't
I thought it wasn't made at all anymore. Eureka wasn't the manufacturer
I called blueskydesigns and they dont make them anymore and did not have any other resources for this. I did a check on ebay but couldnt find the freedom tent.
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

They have a 10x10 one for $101. The smaller ones might be more stable. I'm glad to hear that they are hardy. I would never give up my kodiak, but that does look like a nice tent.

I think the slope on the walls--and the foot print, I was hoping for 10 x 10 at most--make this rather useless... But thanks for looking.

The dome sounds like we are back at the size when unassembled limit. All those struts.

Hmm.. You're right.. did my math on the 10x10 and you wouldn't have much room with clearance above say 4 ft. And looking at the website, it looks like it also has a lip at the entrance. I'm back to the kodiak again. I've stepped on my kodiak's entrance many times, and it doesn't seem to hurt it. Though I'm not positive about the width. How wide does the opening have to be?

Re: Tent with Concerns...
Yeah, the 10x10 would definitely be too small because of the shape. (My wigwam is approximately that, and I think it would be a pain for Fishy.) I'm guessing the slope only begins to manageable at 18x18, which is a bigger footprint than desired, so it's probably back to squares or dome shapes.

ooh one more option. Cabela's Alaskan Outfitters. It's a dome, but center height is 6' plus

If you're interested, I could see if it's still available and purchase and send to you.
ETA: IT doesn't list door height, but the vestibule height is 4.5 feet.

Fishy, I sent you this months ago.......

It's EASY to setup, AIRBEAMS instead of poles, you just pump it up.
Add a piece of carpet accross the front door and you roll right in

The next newsletter will mention that we are looking for 6000 square feet of carpeting for the central area of the camp (shade, foosball table, wine bistro, piano, sofas). If there's any left over you're welcome to it.
I need some sort of memory to remember where I've posted. Many belated thanks for this Doc - I'm happy to schlep in/out if there is some spare!

I have a Kodiak Canvas 10x10, I can assure that there is no possible way to put rebar all the way through the center pole, mostly because the center pole is two poles you put together then slip a nice steel sleeve over the joint so it doesn't come undone.

She was referring to the teepee tent she linked (sliding the center vertical pole over a piece of rebar). Vulture also has a Kodiak.

They had a smaller scout listed for $400 a few days ago.
They do custom work, but there is a lead time.

More vertical walls on this one, better materials.
There are some nice military tents, but I'm not finding one like you want cheaper.
Plywood does seem like the best flooring option.
I had a chance to see the Alaskan Outfitter at cabelas, and it was not as suitable for burning man as another less alaskan looking and sounding tent.
Might check their closeouts.
Lots of cheaper, but less sturdy tents there.
