Preferred method of attaching a momento to The Temple

Post by kiss-o-matic » Sun Jun 30, 2013 9:27 pm

Do simple tacks work here? Is that too tacky? (Pun intended). I assume they would become moop unless the temple burn hits some fantastical temperatures. Putty? Seems like that would melt long before the fire. I got a small something I want to hang this year. It will consist of some poster board and a picture. Nothing too fancy. Saw some nice tributes last year but didn't pay attention to the inner-workings of their adhesives.

Thank you for concern about the materials left behind. Most burners don't think about that.

The ashes and decomposed granite under major burns - the temple, man and art installations are gathered by DPW and returned to the earth.

Small amounts of metal follow that same path. So tacks, staples, nails and screws are fine. There are many metal fasteners in the temple and other structures.

Cheers guys.
Not sure what the size of it will be yet, but maybe some easy-to-find tacks will work.

Jizz.

Tacks are fine. Who would even think they're tacky? And why care if they care?
