I would hate to see something drastic like elimination of the rave camps or RV's but maybe that is what it will take. Make it a little harder to go or make it a little more spartan. Make the event by invitation only by a previous burner or regional group or something, I don't know. Every option sucks. Maybe just end it for a few years and have only regional events and maybe a Black Rock thing every other year or something. Every option that comes to my mind fucking sucks. How do you keep from attracting people that are going to steal? How do you find and kick their asses out without being Big Brother? The only way I can think of is to make it less attractive for the spectators and weekenders.

Oh, excuse me. I've been back in the green room getting ready. I really should stick to hot water, lemon, and honey. I'm on in 5 minutes and have had a hell of a week.

Who am I kidding? Maker's Mark up. It relaxes my vocal cords. Really.

I towed a 21 ft trailer this year and I got to say it was great to be able to make my own Ice and have a soft place to sleep. so of course I will come down on the side of the luxury. And I really don't think that the RVs are the problem. If anything the number of first timers are what is tipping the balance but they are also the future so you can't limit them.

I was there the sunday before gates opened

Yeah, none of the proposals I have heard seem right. I will keep thinking about it ... but nothing I have heard seems like a good solution yet. i hear a lot of complaining, a few suggestions here and there. But other than Rob with his suggestion of the newbie art thing ... nothing inclusive and non-destructive.

I think the organizations dedication to keeping it open to kids is a good Idea to lessen the Yahoos, If the image is that more of a family event at least some of the crap will be toned down. But then there are those that complain about Disneifacation,

Yes. I was going to be performing some choice lounge selections while demonstrating some roller derby moves but without my accompaniest and this low turnout...

I simply can't work in these conditions!
