I just heard the news, and I am sure you all have as well.

these people will be there
Hey guys!

Alright, so I have an amazing opportunity to go to Burning Man at the end of the summer! Burning man is a HUGE festival in the desert of Nevada with art and free expression at its core. It is the biggest pagan festival in the world with 60,000 people coming to take part in this widely known event every year. For a week, people from all over the world come together to build a city in the middle of the desert. Basically anything goes at Burning Man; hallucinogens, mass amounts of alcohol, sex, orgies etc. are highly prevalant. High up government officials from other countries and huge celebrities even come to this but most you would never recognize because half of them come naked and don’t wear makeup. Many come to party and for the substances available. There are also many who come searching and seeking a spiritual experience. Some people literally come searching for the meaning of life.

So why on Earth would I want to go to Burning Man? Well, we’re going on a mission trip! Hah! Bob Johnson will be taking ten people and we are going to meet up with another group. A Baptist lady started this ministry when God told her to reach the people at Burning Man. Obviously, at a place like this, we will have to minister a little differently. Since many times people away from God will immediately put up walls when we say his name, we will call God everything he calls himself, just not God. So, Spirit of Truth, Creator of the Universe, Healer, etc… Because many people in this atmosphere have been hurt by the church and have been turned off by man-made religion, we are going in undercover! As has been done in the past we will set up a freedom tent and go in with the raw power of God! Outside the tent there will be a sign of what the tent offers, so things like “deep spiritual cleansing” code for deliverance, dream interpretation, things of the sort.

So we come in with deep love for these people and watch Jesus reveal himself! Crazy amazing testimonies have been common in past years!! Many of these people are very spiritually aware so when they just hold out their hands and say “spirit of truth come” they have had visions of Jesus, waking up, shaking and asking the group if they were with Jesus. Haha! Obviously when God reveals himself we all respond with a RESOUNDING "YES WE”RE WITH HIM!" It is not our goal to push our experiences on them but rather give them their own encounter with the living God!

Jesus prayed in John 17:21, ”Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” He has given us HIS spirit to walk in HIS power and HIS love! Jesus said in Matthew 11:23 that if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would not have been destroyed. We are longing to bring freedom and the Father’s love to his children and call them back to what they were made for. We are his body! We are his hands and feet!

To go on this trip I must have at least 25 intercessors covering me, praying for me two weeks before I go, all the while I am there, and two weeks when I get back. This is a very spiritual atmosphere with witchcraft camps, warlock camps, Hindu camps, Buddhist camps, homosexual camps, talking to the dead camps, anything you can think of, it’s there! Along with the spiritual conditions, the natural conditions are very harsh. We will be in the desert for a week with no showers, and temperatures reaching over 100 degrees during the day and below freezing at night, also factoring in things like dust storms. Not only do I need your support with prayer, but I need help raising the funds to go on this trip! All the money will be going towards a ticket, transportation, food, and necessities.

Not a huge shock, the first person I found on Indiegogo going to Burning Man is raising money for his satan worshipping tent and has received over his amount to go. I hope our tent is right by his! I am fully convinced that my God is bigger than anything we will be going in to and appreciate you guys! Let’s bring Jesus to Burning Man and see people set FREE!

Misleading people. Always a credible way to get people into a tent.

Finally we see what's up with:
> but I need help raising the funds to go on this trip! All the money will be going towards a ticket, transportation, food, and necessities.

Could be people will just think they're doing performance art...?

Bob Johnson is very experienced in these sort of outreaches, going to porn conventions, pagan festivals, and prostitutes revealing the love and mercy of the Father.
How nice that the leader of this little trip goes to porn conventions & prostitutes. I'm sure "Jesus" is the first thing on his mind...

Correct she does but I'm not willing to spend my burn hearing how wrong I am for being here, how I'm wrong for my religion, how I'm wrong for this that and the other thing.
That is why I go here. To be who ever I am and note told I'm a piss poor human being... I get that enough in the default world. They are not going to BM for what burning man is about not even close. They are going to BM to judge others and recruit people. We don't need that kinda crap on the playa. No one needs to be fucking saved!
It would be one thing if it was just a tent that did Christian work shops. Fine cool whatever. But the fact that they are purposely misleading people to get them in their tent to shove whatever world they have at them is just flat out wrong, not to mention mission trips goals are to spread the world of god to as many people as possible. Can't say I know to many wiccians, Hindus ect doing this type of thing.

That reminds me . . . I need to pick up an extra four pack of 10" stakes and clearer marquee for my Satan-Worshipping Tent. Last year people were standing over my cot gnawing on turkey jerky & trying to engage me in Lutheran hymns, & it was like--"Get OUT of here, you calm goddamned bastards, it's 4:00am . . . and the Catholics before you got all the communion wine."

. . . I don't even care if that kickstarter is real. 1) It's only raised $115, and 2) the goal is surprisingly modest.

Might have to take the link out though, in favor of the text. (Kickstarters have their own section.)

And remember, it's trolling a target audience to solicit money from strangers. No telling who/what they really are.

We have a "terrible" problem with overzealous Christians at Mardi Gras every year. I mean, they have every right to be there but they bring bull horns and blare their hate messages to the annoyance of the happy masses. We have a couple of Mardi Gras "Walking Crews" that for years have made their focus be to inconvenience the bullhorn Christians. Crew of Frog is the most notable, they carry their own bull horns and when they encounter a bullhorn Christian disturbing the happy masses, they stand right next to them and bullhorn "Blah blah blah... blah blah blah blah blah" over and over again until the Christians move one. They always get a cheer from the crowd.

Now if those people showed up with a costume and a smile, they could probably talk to other revelers and perhaps even get some real message of love across, but that is not their modus operandi.
