Yeah, the acronym isn't really used for much else. That has to be it.

If so, it'll be funny if people to call it false. Plenty of folks do worship money. It's just one more deity in a list, being acknowledged. It could be considered a false god, but acknowledging that people worship it is not what makes it false.

Better that it be criticized because no one wants to live on "GDP".

They want to live . . . on Ganesh!

(But GDP makes a bigger point, and maybe there's already a Hindu god in the street names; I haven't looked . . .)

Yes, the 'Boulevard G' project began a couple years back. G is double the width of the other alphabet streets, which makes for increased mutant vehicle traffic. My camp was at about 8:55 and G in 2011 and we had a blast, between being a couple doors down from Distrikt (9:00 and F-G) and the wider street (so many awesome art cars). That's also where the big plazas are at 4:30 and 7:30.

Watching how placement works its magic putting neighborhoods together, it's been interesting to see how it's been evolving. It's got a bit more of a wild west vibe than say, Esplanade, since there's a lot of unreserved space along G.

That's cool, I suppose. We *were* going to do a pirate ship social at our bar on Wednesday night (before the regatta), so maybe this will turn out to be just dandy.

Yeah, that should be perfect - the wider street makes it easier for some of the bigger ships to get down the road. Over a certain size, and navigating the streets gets to be a big pain in the backside.

I've just gotten confirmation that Distrikt will indeed be at 9:00 & F (probably going all the way back to G) again this year.

SK8 Camp reports placement at 9:00 & Esplanade. They were great neighbors last year, and from what I've seen on FB they're really stepping things up this year, congrats guys!

I think the intent is to turn E into a series of superblocks.

Snowflake includes Videogasm, Clevian Circularity, The Shack of Sit, LOLA, Burning Band, Camp SPF, Confederacy of Dunces and Black Rock Fun Jet.
Videogasm's Burning Jeopardy and giant skittle bowl should complement Pleasurefist's games. Be sure to check out the 48 Hour Film project

This is our first year doing a theme camp though we are expericened burners we've banded together from others....We're building an art car MantaRay and will be at 8:45 an Interstellar.

We will be sea creature-thememed and featuring the CargoCunt Bar with blood mary's noon to 4pm daily. Come by and say helloooo....check out our flicker photos of the build.

Camp Rack em Up is @ 9:15 and F. This is our first year as a Theme camp and we are super excited

We are setting up a mini pool hall, with 3 tables and a couple couches with a small bar. We are hoping to see all of you lovely Burners there!!! Stop by on Tues, Wed, or Thurs from 2:00pm-4:00pm for topless tournaments and knock some balls around. (Nifty gifts for the top 3 players on all 3 days). We also have yummy coffee or tea for those who want a nice drink without alcohol.
