New Australian Burner, Vegan Sea Shepherd Crew, Need Camp
Hey all,
I am a first time female visitor to Burning Man. I am Australian but currently living in Portland, OR. Looking for veterans and theme camps to crew with to show me the ropes and have a mutually supportive event. I am a Buddhist vegan animal rights activist and Sea shepherd Antarctica crew member......would be super happy to connect with likeminded people. Any help much appreciated. I am a good cook and super open minded and happy / stress free! Can't wait to hear from new friends xoxoxox

Hi skysunderwater!
Visit some of the 2013 Theme Camps (not all of them are listed here):
http://www.burningman.com/themecamps/th ... ml?yy=2013
Searching by "vegan" gets you 5 results, 4 with obvious contact info. Some may still be recruiting. If not, you will probably still really enjoy visiting their camps on-playa. Searching by "Buddhist" doesn't result in anything, but "Buddha" does, with one (or possibly more) being actually Buddhist-related.
You can also go to the 2013 Theme Camps forum here on ePlaya and poke around, sending an email or PM to camps that suit you. You (usually) have to chase down a camp, because they usually don't recruit from the Introduce Yourself forum.
Finally, check out Portland Burners here:
http://regionals.burningman.com/
And on Facebook.

I'm giving this a nudge over to the 2013 camps board, since I think that's a better fit for 'seeking camp' posts.

Different FIDO. The one I'm talking about is a vegan Sea Shepherder who goes to the burn. I thought it might actually be someone this person knows and can relate to.Turtleburp wrote:DOGS - who's afraid of dogs?!!theCryptofishist wrote:FIDO may be able to help you.
