Alright kids, this is taking a turn towards name-calling. Argue differences all you want, as long as you want, but keep the personal sniping down.

Well, I prefer to call the Monkey Hut over my tent a "hangar". I also highly doubt you're doing anything out at the burn that really qualifies as "survival" in the least -- just car camping really.

And equating work with morality? How... Puritan. Interesting choice of venue in which to showcase it too.

I'm waiting in bed for Tom to go to bed. Tell him to go to sleep and you Guys will continue this in the morning.
Tom.... No more natty ice for you tonight, come to bed. The pillow misses you along with the dog.

Ps this is NOT what I wanted this thread to turn into this why I have not commented. It has turned into a shit stain, that now keeps Jeff laying awake at night trying to figure out what to say next. :|

Sigh.

It is much more fun to talk about plug and plays once you have embraced the lifestyle. There are a lot of exciting possibilities. My plug and play service called Plug and Ply will pick up your luggage right at your doorstep, and the maids will have your clothing freshly pressed and put away in your motor home safe and ready days in advance. We provide limousine service from your home to your nearest executive airport and then air conditioned mutant vehicle service from the BRC airport to your luxuriously appointed motor home. Whether you wish to stay on the playa one night or the entire week long, we have a package that's right for you. Let our professionally screened nannies pamper your children. In addition to our luxury village, we offer a separate camp and fly-in service for your college age kids at a separate village with quantity discounts for groups of 6 or more. Check out our Friday to Saturday one night Fraternity Package that will have your student back home with time to study for class on Tuesday. Plug and Ply will make Burning Man a completely stress free vacation you'll remember for a lifetime.

For 2014, Plug and Ply is proud to announce Economy Village. For a very reasonable flat fee of $2,500, we'll pick you up at the San Francisco International Airport, load your luggage into our air conditioned bus, and spend the night at a hotel in Reno. After the optional shopping tours of Walmart merchandise store and Meadowood Mall, we'll stop for lunch at In-N-Out hamburger restaurant before the final leg of the journey to Black Rock City. With our vendor pass, our bus will breeze past the traffic leading to the event entry gate. Using just your passport or driver's license, you'll be issued a ticket to the event at the Burning Man will call center. Our Economy Village is strategically located in a central location within the festival grounds. You'll be steps away from the major attractions. For an additional fee, a professionally appointed guide will be available for group tours to safely escort you through the city streets if you wish to get up close and personal with the native Black Rock City population. After the travel trailers have been unloaded of luggage and placed back on the bus, we'll use the vendor pass exit for a quick trip back to San Francisco airport as if nothing has happened the entire weekend you spent at the amazing Burning Man festival. It is sure to be a memory to last a lifetime.

what a dickish attitude presented by OP. If you don't want people to apply for your camp then don't fucking advertise it. If someone has the wrong idea when they do apply, let them know.

Its called helping each other out and just being a decent son of a bitch.

The snooty burner: "We are doing a theme camp and we have placement and everyone should be part of our camp and pay to join us but no you do not simply get to pay and play. You better bring everything you need and pay me so you can camp near me. But I'm not your friend and I don't want to hang out or enjoy burning man with you. I will talk behind your back to everyone else in camp and act like you are in my personal space. Then on the last day you better help tear down, you helped pay for it after all. No we aren't going to help with your tear down, WE are the group, YOU are the individual. FUCK YOUUUUUUUUU for joinging us. FUCK YOUUUUUU for wanting to be part of anything that you aren't already fully embedded in. Next time just donate your money to our camp and stay home because we really just want more money for our own big laser truck (DID YOU SEE OUR LASER TRUCK) and the playa is too crowded anyway."

In our PnP camp we transport our "Diamond Elite New World Order" patrons to the playa via scramjets (for our international travelers) and vacuum tubes. Of course they don't even know we do that as we cryogenically freeze those patrons for the remaining 362 days of the year (they only bother to stay for the last few days of the burn) so that they can burn endlessly. Some of them don't even remember that defaultia exists anymore!

Our PnP camp is so elite that you'd have a better chance of landing a place at Bohemian Grove than our PnP camp. Hell, even Michael Jackson was relegated to renting Disneyland for a day as all the spots were taken. Our cash cow generates more revenue per year than the entire Burning Man event has in its entire existence.

That scenario doesn't fit within the realm of Plug and Ply at all. Plug and Ply will give all the staff the training they need regarding the hospitality industry standard and will strive to make each customer feel like they are one of the family. We will have a post-event questionnaire available online where the customer can rate our performance, and we'll strive to take corrective action for our new customers in subsequent years and hopeful make Plug and Ply a Burning Man resort that our clients will return to year after year for an experience of a lifetime.
