Hello all,
This is my first year at burning man and I'm traveling by motorcycle with a friend also on his bike. The issue we're going to have is transporting enough water for the two of us for the week. I was wondering if anyone was willing to link up possibly in Reno which is where we'll stock up on supplies. All I ask is if someone has the space in there ride to transport water and non perishable food? I can offer up my services in helping set up your camp, offer gas money, or anything else you deem as reasonable compensation.
Cheers

That is an awesome little trailer.
Some Theme Camps have meal plans & a group water purchase, in exchange for work & dues. These are not considered basics (placement, shade and maybe a shower are the most typical basic amenities).
See the 2013 Theme Camps orum--there are still a number of camps looking for members.

Welcome to eplaya.
Yes, as Savannah said, there are camps that have the basics, including some meals. You should figure on 2 gallons (or around 4 liters) of water per day. I would also suggest some energy bars in your saddle bag, just in case you get hungry.
What day are you planning on arriving and leaving Burning Man? Do you have a tent and sleeping bag?

I'm hoping to arrive by the first day but may get pushed back to the second. I'll be living out of a tent and have a sleeping bag. I want to bring everything I need and not have to rely on the kindness of others. If the opportunity presents itself I may take advantage but I want to know I don't need to. I've done long overlanding trips on my bike before with nothing or no one around for miles. I just haven't taken on the desert yet. Now that I know Gerlach is an option for water my concerns have lessened. Thanks for the feed back. What would really be interesting is if I managed to bring enough water to gift as well... Let the motorcycle nay-sayers put that in there pipe and smoke it. Thanks for the reply.
Cheers
