not so much of an *actual* chance...it would require at least a few hundred spare dollars that i don't have falling out of my ass right now.Sensei wrote:Well, my world no longer looks like a Dali painting; I'm not sure if that's good or bad. HEY! Does this mean there's a chance that our hostess with the mostest will be in attendance?

Yeah, and I stayed home while everyone else (except Lydia) took off for Portland. Talk about pouting. Waaaaah!
Which reminds Sensei: I get at least partial credit for Lyin' Rian showin' up for the Portland soiree. She was all "I'm not sure if I'm goin" until I gave her the ol' Sensei pep talk. She'll deny this, of course.
Oh, Miss Guin? Around 8:30 or so people start to show up; but Lydia has rehearsals and won't be there til 10. I'm probably going to be there about then, also.

GE, i should be there by 9pm or before.
i think SeaComp is on the 13th.
Yay!
Sooo, Sensei and Lydia, what time are you guys coming?
Hey, this is even stranger than our reunion, GE. On Saturday i was at a friend's housewarming. His friend introduced me to another person, who happens to be my playmate from 19 years ago. We haven't been in contact in at least 15.
And, she's a burner!
Yay!
what a bizarre week.........

I'll be the freak in the cowboy hat. Picked that baby up in Eagleville, Ca. this year. You guys know that little general store they have? There was a lady there who had a ton of these hats for sale out on the porch; and she was shaping them to order right there - she dunked 'em into this little galvenized tub and curled away... I had just left my freakin' hat in Alturas and needed one badly. The cool part was, once I put it on, all the locals started givin' me the little nod as they drove past...

just popping in for a quick shot o' rye.... then back to the incredibly complicated, patched together, irrational, new SAP based computer system. Who comes up with this shit?

Sometimes children speak so well without knowing what they speak. They see so much in other peoples lives and it pours through their creativity. My son just now was bored I told him to get his cars and play a little. He comes out and puts together something artistic(at least in my eyes) that depicts society as a whole.

It is so true to life with so many people in every walk of life feeling stuck in a perpetual circle surrounded by obstacles...

when sensei gets clingy, it DOES do a lot to motivate a girl to skip town.Sandwichman wrote:Rian was actually telling me about some guy pleading with her to stay in Seattle complaing that he could not go to Portland but she said she had to cut him loose some time......We got her down here and helped her to acclimate wonderfully.Sensei wrote:See what I mean?

just ordered a drink over at the Hugs thread.... slow service, so I can over here.
Hows about a Yellow Jack Shiraz... an unassuming wine that has just a hint of kangaroo dung about it.
So... Yellow Chicken... did you crack that Shiraz yet?

BTW, you three have a place to stay for SeaComp.
You should probably bring sleeping bags, but there's a couch and a floor and possibly a futon too.

Hey, S-man, let me check - the person with the house pretty much made an open invite, but i want to make sure. (The 3 actually referred to Sam and his son and his son's girlfriend, but i can see how that was confusing considering that i did spend the weekend with not one, not two, but THREE insane portland eplayans. )
oh, and there was a 'don't bring the party back to my place because my landlady lives upstairs caveat. but we'll wear you all out.
