Seeking Quotes - What is Burning Man to you?
Burning Man is the ultimate state of self expression - the true meaning of freedom - the superlative of a dangerously safe environment.
That is what it means to me.

This seemed fun at first and then degenerated---nonetheless!
Busted flat in Black Rock, hearing a train
And I's feeling nearly as dehydrated as my jerky
My diesel pickup broke down just before it rained
It rode me all the way from Berkeley
I pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red undies
I was playing with myself softly while the whiteout covered my shoes
Vaseline, slapping time, I was holding that thing of mine
Didn’t realize there were so many songs I never knew
Burning Man’s just another couple words for nothing left to lose
Nothing don't mean nothing honey if it ain't on fire, now now
And feeling good was easy, Lord, when I ate those shrooms
You know feeling good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my container of pee

ever since i got back here in jersey all my friends have been asking me to tell them about burningman...i end up telling them stories of shit that happened to me ...but i never really get around to describing burningman, none of them have ever been and i feel as tho i wouldnt be doing it justice attempting to describe it so i usually end up just saying "go to 2005...then i wont have to tell u about it"
i think somewhere on the bm site ...maybe under the "what is burningman" section its put into words in the most perfect way i can imagine...its something along the lines of "describing burningman to someone whose never been is like trying to describe the color purple to a person whose been blind since birth...sure you can say 'well its kinda like blue...and kinda like red'...but the only way to really know is to see it for yourself"
dammit i talk to much...im gonna have to agree with kiba here..."burningman is"

When we pulled into that little gas station and I saw a sprawling city with a blue ceter, my first gut reaction was fear. I am small and OH MY FUCKING GOD! Burning Man is so big. Oh so big. I wanted to share it with everyone and save it just for myself all at once. It's a dangerous metropolis where faith is enough to live off. All will be well- just ask. I found salvation in the fact that I have never fit in anywhere. There with my beoved outsiders I was beautiful and filthy. Free to walk alone. At Buring Man I was satisfied to be alone, free to hug strangers, not hungry, not tired. I was satisfied there.
Oh I can't wait to go back. If you have any use for my thoughts in your site they are all yours. Love Nat (please fix my spelling if you quote me)
