i will set up as many sock accounts and write as many soliloquy ( solilioquii?) as it takes to do this for my girlfriend, who is turning 40, on the 1st of september, and who i am madly in love with, so i don't mind pulling the major birthday card.

i'll volunteer at the airport, clean planes, put the little stripes on the runway, whatever....with eplaya as my humble witness, this is what i was planning on doing anyway, in order to befriend a pilot, and convince him to do exactly as you proposed.

I think you should just go ahead and pick Simon right away.

Please don't make him create any more socks. We KNOW they'll all stick around long after the flight is history imparting their own special smells to the joint. I really don't think he ever washes them. Ever.

That said, he'd be the greatest company you could have for a flight. I promise you that!

ok, if simon wasnt going to get the flight for his girlfriend i would post this

this year will be 11 years since my dads sudden death, which i feel immense guilt and grief over, which is a long and personal story. however the last thing he said to me about 4 days before his death was "I don't fly anymore" which broke my heart.
He emigrated to America in 1990 to teach people to fly and lived in Gardnerville (just south of Reno) and taught flying in Tahoe at soar Minden, it was lifelong passion of his and something i shared with him from the age of 8 to 21 (when he emigrated) and one of the things i really wanted to do when i came out to Nv back in 2011 was to have flight to remember him and see the sky he saw sadly the club he taught at was closed in 2011 - a few months before i came over there. so that never happened.

However 2 things make me say give the flight to Simon, for him to give to his lovely GF, first when i met the two of them last year ot was clear just how much they love each other and it would be nice for him to be avble to do that (plus make him clean and push your plane) and second, if she has never flown in a small plane it will be something she will remember forever (i know i still remember my first flight at

which is a great thing.

and yes graidawg, she has never been in a small plane.....I have actually flown a cesna before, it's like a refridgerator with wings that stays aloft at 90 knots...

it's terrifying, and serene all at the same time.
