Last Night...

Post by Conduit » Mon Jul 29, 2013 3:15 pm

I live in a very suburban neighborhood where each house looks almost exactly the same and we are new to the street.

Last night I was breaking in my playa boots while getting shit done in the garage:

tent set up, check
bicycle lights on, check
El wire jacket on, check
Wearing spandex pants that look like exposed muscle, check

I proceeded to take a quick ride around the cul de sac to check my bike out when my elderly neighbor opened her garage, took one look at me and then hobbled back in as fast as she could. I waited for the cops to show, they didn't...

I'm used to stuff like this although after 22 years here they don't run away lol.

My neighbors include a county judge, a state senator, a rabbi, and an active duty marine officer to name a few.

All I have to do to draw stares is walk down the street with my chartreuse mohawk.

Hahaha!
O man. Godda love old neighbors!

We live in a townhouse, and our neighbors are in their mid 80's. Godda love the old folks next store.
O well, at least they turn their hearing aids off at 9:30 and never complain about the noise at 2am, haha.

You could actually get a ticket for that. Or, even worse, you could possibly have to register as a sex offender for Indecent Exposure.

Though, tight tight tight booty shorts under a tutu and woman's bikini top would be completely legal

Yeah I wasn't serious about the naked part but now you've got me thinking that I haven't actually tested my banana hammock out yet!

I live near one of the members of the SF Board of Supervisors, and am friendly with him. One day I'm walking by him & his girlfriend & he just starts asking about my trip to the playa this year. Turns out he's gone a couple times too. Yay for SF politicians!

I think one of my "down the street" neighbors is going. There's a pile of PVC and 2 by 4's forming on the side of his house and a ratty old flatbed trailer just showed up on his lawn last weekend. I haven't met him yet as we just moved into the "hood".

God (can also be pronounced Eric) I miss living in SF so bad! I used to live on Fredrick & Stanyan by the park. I happened to be moving on the day that Bay to Breakers was being held. I knew that I had found the right neighborhood when I met a Storm Trooper holding hands with a naked couple in their 60's on the way to the Ace Hardware on Haight. I now live in the Inland Empire in SoCal. FUCK THIS SHIT!!!

My neighbor hasn't spoken to me since 2011 when I was constructing a catapult in the guise of a praying mantis and painting over-sized alphabet blocks in my back yard....... but I'd be lying if I said I missed the banal small talk,

There are easily 1/2 a dozen burners within about 2 blocks where I live. I love my neighborhood :coffee:

I was driving around the neighborhood this weekend I saw a giant green schoolbus with blacked out windows and was marveling at it, then as I got closer I saw a )'( painted on the end of it... I need to drop by and make friends. :D

I lived in Project Artaud in the Mission when I was 18, in the 70s. No wonder Burning Man feels so much like home.

MSJ - WTF with the fact that the temperature in the IE has been the same or hotter than the playa lately??? I grew up in Kona HI and now live in Riverside. I wouldn't choose me as a life coach!!! LOL

I wish I knew how I ended up in the bowels of hell!!! Yes, the heat is unbelievable...but thankfully I *hear* the playa will be in the 80's day and 50's night. Thinking about extending this trip!!!

Hope to meet ya on the playa!

If I can make the meet n greet, I'll be the short one with long (down to My a$$) red hair. Apparently camping with only guys this year means no one to braid!!! I mean really, you can take an engine apart and put it back together, but you can't braid hair???? LOL
