Our camp plays a healthy dose of music peculiar to the African American urban demographic. That's a small part of how our theme camp embraces racial diversity.

so wait:
if you're half blueish, someone in your family must have been full blown, blue.
So, whether blue, or blown, half or full, your ending is what matters, happy or not. yes?
The contradiction, it seems, comes that if you're fully blown, your even more blue, which seems at odds with common sense, no?

Ah, but you might be rubbing up against the exploitation of african american talent for the entertainment of white folks thing. Jews and gay men metaphorically live in that ghetto, too.

I had no idea that there is a type of music that is listened to solely by urban African Americans. Learn something new everyday!

Now don't get pissed. Deep breath and roll with things. There's some wild and offensive things that may or may not be said here, and it's best to take it all in stride. 8)

Touchy touchy. I lifted those words from the lyrics of "Don't try to lay any boogie woogie on the king of rock and roll" by Long John Baldry.
"It's a kind of jazz-rhythm music
Peculiar to the American Negro"
He was talking about early rock and roll. And I made it politically correct no less!

Yes on that. You have to be really, really, extremely sensitive about the subject. Even Obama can't win when he mentions it.

Just in case littlebird is the one on the left, dogs are not allowed at Burning Man, as I have been repeatedly informed, even cute white ones.

When some German folk/polka songs play from our media card catalog of the music for our podcast at some regional functions, people will say, "What the fuck is that?!!!" with no sensitivity whatsoever. Not that that means anything, but interesting nevertheless. They would never dare say such a thing about the African folk songs, which we also have on our podcast/broadcast.
