Flooring

Hey guys, I am running the Black Rock Bakery this year, and I am trying to figure out if I should spring for flooring right now. Looks like it will cost me 600 bucks to floor my Costco kitchen with interlocking plastic floor tiles

I want to do something to prevent mud from forming directly on the floor (I know mud will form under the floor, but we can put down a sheet tarp or something to prevent that)

Should I just use ply? is there something that is cheaper per sqft and similar to this type of thing?

Last year we had no flooring and the kitchen was kinda messy on the dust..

One of the most inexpensive materials is used billboard tarps. Available in heavy gauge and heavy in weight. They sweep easily. Doesn't give the cushioning of mats, but you could use those in just select areas. I have seen carpet, being vacuumed, if you have a generator and a vacuum you can trash.

Ground tarps. Are you worried about spilling stuff and making mud? Or it getting muddy if it rains?

Canvas or cotton duck material - easy to sew or just lay down and adhere to the Playa with nails. I have upscaled it a bit by using grommets on the edges for the nails.
Sweepable and a light spraying of water keeps the surface rock hard.
