You're quite welcome, all. This was the reason that I ASKED. Simple courtesy. The same courtesy is due anyone you take a picture of on-playa. "Ask Before Pictures" is something that B.E.D. promotes. I stand in solidarity with them, and with my fellow burners in respecting the rights and wishes of others. If we take anything away from Burningman, that's one thing that should be emphasized, respect for your fellow human being.

Well obviously, bacon is the very finest savory meat candy in the land, a priceless treat known to occasionally reclaim even the most stalwart of drunken, salt-depleted vegans . . . but I assure there is a most curious temporal phenomenon known as the Spam Window, a span of time often during but not limited to childhood, during which--if SPAM is consumed, particularly cubed, fried, & served with scrambled eggs--the exposed subjects are particularly vulnerable to becoming indoctrinated in the ways of its strange, vaguely shameful, gelatinous glory.

I never bring SPAM to the Burn, because I don't how to explain my possession of it to the highway patrol during a routine traffic stop, but if it's offered to me once a year? Sure, I'm down.

. . . I'd like some scrambled eggs too, though.

When I was living in Austin, TX they had a festival called "SPAMarama". It was a lot of fun. The area's chefs would all gather and compete to make the best gourmet dishes using SPAM. It was AMAZING what they came up with! The public would then sample the dishes and place their vote for various category winners. I just hate the smell of raw SPAM - fresh opened can of SPAM - GAG!

(Plus it's a good idea to let everybody know that you're counting on them for a full spread of food and beverage). YES! It is happy hour here in northern Califa. I'll be attending the event with my BMBFF. Sojourn. He wants a new name and I'm leaning towards Loosey. It has a nice ring to it. Or maybe Surely. Certainly not Patsie or I Lean.
