It's starting to smell like the playa around here. I'm going to a workshop over at The Generator today to learn how to make a figjam cooler. I really appreciate this workshop as I am a "hands on " kind of gal

lots to do, and no good plan for it. I'm nibbling around the edges, doing the things directly in front of me at any moment. One big outing today to the furthest supplier, big battery I think, and maybe a solar panel if the price is right. I suppose I should finish with the item that requires the electricity first... eh. I'm looking at my first year set up, and everything was just fine. Fallback is always to a simpler set up that worked fine anyway. I'm trying not to spin too much over the elaborations I've been dreaming up.

I can't over do it or I could tear open the surgical healing wound on the inside (the exterior wound has healed over).

my mind is blown a bit....but seriously I will be somewhere (maybe on the mtn side overlooking the burn) with the others unable to go to the big burn on playa proper this year....(an eplayan angel tracked me down and called me out of the blue and has the low down on some alternatives, not to mention the instinct that I am feeling a bit worried about my recovery and all) so that has been uplifting!

This medical ordeal has given me new artistic ideas, and that's good....for me and the community and the burn itself, but healing from this untimely surgery is paramount....I've got to take it easy and be patient, grrrr....

shot of Honey Bourbon (I like J.Beams version over JD's)
tablespoon of Agave Nectar
jigger of bitters
4'oz of "Rice Dream" Horchata
Mix (in order); Ice, bitters, Agave, Bourbon, Horchata , Shake Strain into chilled shot glasses garnish with cinnamon
You can scale it up and add Tequila but the sweetness is gonna mess you up worse than the Alcohol will.

Sav and everyone, NO No! The timing of my injury sucked/sucks (pre-burn, omfg!)

I''m appreciative of any bit of help and do NOT wish to interfere with the burn. It got handled rather fast (as we know some of us are ultra prepared types and had the time to quickly track her down) it's alllll good!

Now if I could just find a secretary to help me with all the frickin' red tape I've been slammed with (I can wish!) I'm working on it...bit by bit.
