So... I still gotta check over my trailer brakes and bearings and build the front and side rails I want to add, finish the boat's headliner, and work on the complete camper interior remodel that's only just started. How many more weeks until August begins?

It wasn't the only thing I did related to BM today, not hardly, but it was something I didn't expect to get to for another week or so. Our shade structure goes over our little RV so I'm routing the very quiet diesel generator's exhaust through a hole I'll make in the tarp, high above everyone's nose.

Picked them up in BedRock City, at Smart and Finality. I'm still looking for the Sunny D, nothing quite like asking some soul out on the playa, "Hey, you wanna Sunny D?" Oh, and I picked up an extra 50 cans of beer, half gallon of tequila and a half of silver rum for our deep playa bar today.

Replaced one of my mutant vehicle's alternators, noticed it wasn't charging as well as it should.
Put in the onboard vacuum cleaner. Perhaps that's over-the-top for an MV but its got such a fabulous red velour couch...

Cleaned out the garage today to make room for my staging area. Moved all my piles out there and started to organize everything into their respective bins.

I'm camped at a sub-camp of the Berlin ranger station. If you don't find me just be at Barbie Death Village on Wednesday for the meet & greet, we'll go cruising the outer playa when things wind down!

Did a test-pack. I should be able to fit everything in one duffle bag, except bedroll and tarp poles.

Now I just need to find a ride!

Pitched tent in back yard and fucked around with cheap useless tarp to gauge what I'm gonna need to do a proper shade structure.

Said enough was enough and started trying to get the last of the camp stuff done. Made some progress but ran out of black paint and almost out of red. So now off to working on the camp hoodies.

Bucket cooler finished up.
tote of battery operated lights sorted organized, dead batteries replaced. (I wish I could tie knots as well as the knots that are created from just tossing light strings in a box)
Made a couple first aid kits.
Ordered some clothing online.
Tended to the cucumbers growing in the garden. (The cucumbers that I'll be making the Cold spicy cucumber bites for the MnG out of.)

Went to the local alterna-consignment-costume-shop's half-off sale and got a bunch of body paint and a $2 fine cotton sari in olive green! I think I'll go back for more body paint tomorrow before the sale ends :D

Also working on some gifts to give out at night.

Before container truck load-in on the 11th, I need to go to the hardware store, Target, the bike shop, mayyybe Home Depot, and look for a half-dozen things that are probably still in boxes from when I moved. Ideally I'd like to finish a couple of sewing projects, but it's OK if those slip and I end up carrying the finished products in my luggage.

Watch out for:
- heat melting/burning the tarp
- hole in tarp needs re-enforcement so it won't tear there in the wind?

If your shade's pretty enclosed, don't keep your running generator inside it. Even the best hose/hole/macguyvering can fail, and in an enclosed space that could go badly.

No no no. Pitching a tent and fucking around is what happens AFTER I figure out a good shade structure.

Good point. The Fischer Panda generator has water cooled exhaust so the exhaust pipe is about 150f. I wouldn't want others to not consider that possibility.

Made my hubby a furry cozy warm vest for nighttime adventures.... Now, I just have to talk him into wearing it! If that idea sinks with my hubby I'm sure the vest will fly with someone else and make an amazing gift!
