Temple Burn - Sunday at 8PM
As the subject says, this year the temple burn will take place at 8PM on Sunday night. This is earlier than in the past, so adjust your Sunday evening plans accordingly.

My understanding is also that no drones should be flying over that burn.

Why don't the people who want silence at the temple burn just wear earplugs?

Is the Temple the structure where people write, hang pictures of loved ones, paint art and meditate inside before it goes up in flames and the firefly ash floats up filling the sky with moving red dotted stars?

Not sure. It probably depends on a lot of different factors, including the material burned and the wweather at the time of the burn.... the firefly ash floats up filling the sky with moving red dotted stars?

Probably no stencil work using spray paint? Maybe acrylic and a sponge?
Re: Temple Burn - Sunday at 8PM
For the first time this year, I would like to post something in the temple. Do you know where I could find out if any guidelines exist for this? I have seen the art and posters that people put up on the walls and fences, but don't know what they use to hang them there. I would only want to use materials that won't produce toxic chemicals when they burn, or leave melted waste behind that someone has to clean up. Any advice is welcome.

Re: Temple Burn - Sunday at 8PM
After the burn, you find yourself walking across smoking embers, among collapsed smoldering timber, past scattered flames licking up the remains of a once proud structure. The fire devouring all that once was solid and sure. And you recall that this was once a grand building, built with love and care, standing glorious as a shelter against the harsh elements for many, a steady landmark on the horizon…now burnt down to the ground.
And as the heat dies and the flickering light fades, I look around and think, wow, this is so damn similar to my life.
...and as pointed out above, yeah, the next morning, what a mess to clean up...

Re: Temple Burn - Sunday at 8PM
This thread, what with the Free Bird jokes y'all beat me too, the SoM and the snark made me happy. My roommate has given me something to hang up, I was going to do thumbtacks. Plastic will melt, yeah? Little bits of metal are fairly negligible, compared to what I've seen in there. If you read something about a grandfather that ends with "go and shed your light," that's for my roommate. It'll be the first time in two years I've gone to the temple (except to feed the crew last year on Sunday, which was epic), and it's a joy to be taking someone else's sorrow for once.

(this post is here bvecaues there is no thread, or even forum, that fits it better)
"Law enforcement" (and BM's rabid embracement/dicksucking of it) destroyed the spirit of BM. Of 60k parcicipants, 10k are old-timers wishing it was the way it used to be, and 50k are newbies wishing/pretending they could experience the way it used to be.

Heavy on preparations, light on expectations.

What a cute and pointless non sequitur by the troll drutter.
Of course you could've put it in one of the law enforcement threads (e.g. this) in the other forums, but I think you're right: your post would be as equally meaningless there -- or anywhere -- as here.

Re: Temple Burn - Sunday at 8PM
I think, by definition, nothing that is experienced more than the once can ever be the way it used to be; it will always be different with each iteration.
