Hi All,
I would love suggestions on places in the Bay Area that rent trailers to Burners. I know it's late in the season, but hey, here I am. I heard U-haul won't do trucks (at least from the Bay Area) but will they rent trailers? Who else has trailers? Does it make sense to contact some of the construction rental places as well as the moving rental folks?
Similarly, if anyone has extra space in a truck or trailer going to Playa, please let me know. I have about 6 twin mattresses I'm hauling for my art project. And no, I'm not going to burn them! They will be properly recycled in Reno.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help! I love Burners for monitoring and helping here on ePlaya!

Re: Trailer Rental or Share
Yes, it is incredibly late in the game. But you should be able to find something if a) you do some digging around (including calling local offices and talking to people at the desk to get their recommendations of locations to try), b) are willing to do a little driving (in-town SF locations may not have availability, but if you're willing to drive...), and c) pay through the nose (as supplies dwindle, rates go up).
You may have better luck with finding a gear haulage share if you start proactively thinking about your logistics. First, check this board and the rideshare board to see if there are people offering truck share space. It is incredibly late in the game, but you never know. Second, post some more useful information - such as your travel dates. If you're planning to arrive early, make sure that all passengers in the vehicle have an early arrival pass valid for that date (and no, EA passes may not be bartered/traded/sold/gifted between camps and projects). As per our posted guidelines we do ask that you keep the financial details confined to private messages, but it's okay to mention that you'd split costs of rental, gas, etc.
