A death in the family

Post by blackrockbob » Tue Sep 16, 2003 2:56 pm

Todd Sutterley, Tribal Thunder host and my dear friend and neighbor and our buddy Rick lost thier lives in a tragic motorcycle accident, Sunday September 14th leaving Port Costa returning home to Martinez. They will be sorely missed, but not forgotten.

Your camp is where my husband spent most of his time. What a fabulous camp! I am so very saddened to hear about their deaths. Has there been a funeral? i am sure alot of burners would love to attend.

There's a gathering today at 5, I believe it's at his house. I'm really bummed out by this, I knew him from the Port as well as the playa.

Years later, how can we forget Todd?

Can't be done - especially around Burning Man time I always revisit what Todd gave to us. His spirit is and was pure Burning Man, for better and/or for worse. We'll never forget those earlier BM days with the Jesus was an Alien Camp and then the Tribal Thunder gang. Awesome. Meaningful. LifeShifting. If any of you all are reading this, we are with you still! Those were some of the best of days...

Bob, I ride a motorcycle and I know how dangerous it can be. I'm so sorry to hear this about your dear friends. My prayers goes out to them all... God bless..

Here's something that will hopefully be in some positive way:

I pray all the time when I ride my bike from point A to point B that I make
there in one safe trip. When I reach my destination I'm relieved I got there with no harm. I've accepted the danger in having a motorcycle and
I said to myself that if I ever had to go and when my time is up. I rather be on my bike because I know that when I do go I go with happiness...
