I'm giving this a nudge over to Regionals & Events, since that's a better fit for off-playa meetups.

Lake Tahoe was the perfect decompresion in my virgin year, I went there with Moonrise and 2 English friends. It was just lovely.
be sure to message Moonrise before the event I am sure he will want to hear stories of this year as he can't go

Do you both have any recommends on any areas to visit in Lake Tahoe? I've never been. I have a friend that just moved out there too, so I will also reach out to him. Would love to hear what you all have to say too!

Depends on your route. If you want to stay near 80 then there are lots of fun places in the north shore. Crystal bay is lovely, and Sand Harbor is a little more out of the way but fantastic places to go and relax by the lake.
My favorite spot is Secret Harbor. part of it is a nude beach and it's a bit of a hike down (3/4 mile maybe?), so it's not crowded and a bit isolated. There are huge boulders in the water, so swimming or snorkeling is absolutely amazing.
If 50 is on your way home, then south shore has a lot to offer too! Pope or Baldwin beach are a must, plus you can head over to emerald bay by kayak (rentals at both beaches iirc). Swimming out to Fannette Island and walking up to the tea room is an incredible experience. Angora Lakes resort is a high elevation lake that is really fun to hike up to, amazing high elevation lake with a mountain backdrop where you can rent canoes, jump off diving rocks, and buy a lemonade and a burger for lunch. Plus south lake has gamblings and clubs, although on Mon/Tues probably a bit dead. Lakeshore Inn used to have karaoke, but I forget what day.

Re: Anyone going to the Peppermill Resort for decompression?
Oh wow!! Thanks for all this info, Burner Bunny!!!!
We're probably going to stay more North IF we have to take the rental car back to Sacramento. We'll see what happens. Depending on when I get a call for a gig, we may stay out West for a while.
Snorkeling, huh? What kind of fabulousness do you see in the Lake there?
We're not too concerned with going to clubs after all the excitement of BM. Looking to melt into nature and chill. So everything you mentioned is perfect!
This is really awesome. Thank you for writing this all out for me!! <3
