You're right! That's brand new.

I guess I'll be collecting my grey water--although I'm proud to say no evap pond of mine has gone rogue.

Concrete mixing tubs are indeed great to stand in as Figjam suggests; I use one too. Note: You can't evaporate more than about an inch of water from one, so don't go nuts. It's a vehicle for collection rather than evaporation.

That's what the beach towel is for.

When you're done, there shouldn't be any water in the tub. 8)

I know, I was paying attention. :)

If I wash my hair though, I'm going to have to collect some water.

I have a black cargo liner from a now deceased station wagon that has served me well. I only do the garden sprayer thing (unless I'm sharing someone else's, preferably occupied, shower) but I do wash my hair daily because I don't relish the feeling of having been dunked upside down up to the eyebrows into a vat of cement. It fits into my current vehicle relatively well.

On the way back I wrap it in two garbage bags I've split down the seam and duct tape to contain any playa residue. I also take an extra clean tarp which I put in the cargo area underneath everything for the trip back. It doesn't mitigate the need for an extensive cleanup but it does make me feel I've at least done everything I could. Self-deception does have it's merits.

God dammit I hate being neurotic!

Okay. After much soul searching, bothering my friends, and a couple of spreadsheets, I've concluded you guys are obviously cooler. So I'm camping with you.

HAHAHAHA. That's what we get for hitting you with that line after lunch I guess.

I'm pretty sure you're over estimating the cool factor. Only two of us are northerners, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyhow, even if you decide we're not as cool as you'd hoped we'd be, you can always pull a Savannah and move across the street. I'd still let you use my cooking stove!!!!

This is going to be great!!!!! :D

Actually, Delle, three are from Manitoba, (two of whom currently live in Vancouver,) and you and I makes five. Or, since I'm still Canadian but living in Arizona, you can count Kenny as the fifth, as an American in Quebec. (If you count us both, we're six!!)

PS: that is not even mentioning Andy, two of his sons, and their group of friends!!

edited to add: technically their whole group can be considered Northerners, since they're close to the BC border in Washington!

Is it unpatriotic of me to admit that "old country vodka snorting" is something I'd never even considered before???

Definitely going to have to give that one a try!

I'm pretty sure that would create an international incident with Kanuckistan, and then I'd have to go over and smooth things over diplomatically. If this results in a hostage situation, I hold you personally responsible.
