I have a roll of aluminet that does not have a seam around the edge and therefore no grommets in the corners. Does anyone have suggestions on how to best secure it? It will serve as a shade structure for our cargo van and spilling out over the side of the van as shade for the common area.
Many thanks.
How to secure aluminet
Re: How to secure aluminet
Get out a sewing machine and hit the hardware store for grommets. That's all I got.

Re: How to secure aluminet
fold the edges about 2 inches twice so you have 3 layers. get some silver poly tarp and slice off 4" strips. fold those strips over the aluminet fold. zig zag stitch it together. then grommets. bombproof

Re: How to secure aluminet
Pull a bunch of it and tie it in a knot. Then tie rope around the knot. Kinda like tying bed sheets together. Been doing it for 6 years.

thank f'in god, hnrys69 - that is exactly the post i was hoping for. i don't have a sewing machine, so sewing a seam and putting grommets in (ya know, the proper way to do it)was a bit out of my league. Thanks all for your input.
