OMG! MUSIC WITH WORDS! Now in its eighth year on the playa, A Plus D bring BOOTIE BRC, the internationally-infamous bootleg mashup party, back to Black Rock City, for SIX different parties spread across FOUR days!
With nine different DJs, including A Plus D, Lobsterdust, Entyme, Faroff, Destrukt, Airsun, and John!John! – as well as mashup shows and performances by Alejandro, RaRa Sis Bomba, and Adrian – Bootie BRC celebrates (and satirizes) pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup, and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Bootie BRC is presented in part by the BRC Weekly, Black Rock City's independent newsweekly.
