I'm gonna dress "like" a pirate. And by that I mean, I already have some black slacks I cut off jaggedly just below the knee and a white shirt I also cut up. I'm gonna use so me red scrap fabric I have around the house to make a sash/belt sorta thing. And either extra red fabric for a bandana or the Pirate bandana the Dread Pirates gave me last year. Probably also grab a cheap pirate sorta sword from the dollar store. Actually, I'll grab a few of them.

Ill put it on the list for good will shopping.

Could you do like a "bar maid" or "pirate wench" sorta thing?

can someone bring a plank of wood? I think we should make people walk the plank (just put it on the floor to make it easy.....)

also if we are going to hijack ice3 can anyone else think of any pirate activity we could engage in? We should totally kidnap the mayor and force him to sit down for the whole shift (he may well explode hehehe)

Have the Greeters hold fake swords and make people walk the plank to which ever line they are supposed to go in.
I have a 2x12x12' I can bring (I think it still 12' long )

Should we maybe sing "99 Bottles of Beer" every time someone gives us a beer?
Start at 99, and each time someones gives us a beer, we sing one chorus. If someone gives us a 6 pack we count (sing?) down 6 numbers? I think if we finish the song before the end of the shift we might be in trouble.
I don't know any other pirate sorta songs.

Also, are we meeting beforehand?

I think it could be fun to meet before hand, then sorta storm Ice Cubed at 8:55.
A handful of the shift are already living in BDV.
Should we sorta figure, we'll all meet there around 8:40-8:45 then cruise over around 8:50?

As we're all starting to get ready to leave for the BRC we're all spending less time on ePlaya.

Just real quick, who all is planning to meet at BDC Tuesday morning? Should we meet in the main shade space next to the Barbie Death Camp Art installation or someplace else?
I figure it will take about 5 to 10 minutes to get from BDC to Ice Cubed. And we should try and arrive a minute or two early. Meet at BDC around 8:45 and leave for Ice Cubed around 8:50?

Yeah, I'm not sure what the actual name for all the Barbies in marching lines, being lead into ovens, by GI-Joe is actually called. Its right next to the BDC shade, at the corner of 4 and E.

Still pretty pissed off I missed the Tuesday Ice Shift

But, I worked two shifts Thursday to make up for it

Tuesday's shift was SO fun! I pirated so hard.

Fishy kept the crowd in check with judicious use of her pirate cutlass.
Martiansky has such a mischievous, chipper smile!
Graidawg totally cheated the theme by wearing a top hat, and kept fighting me for ice.
Jayce was an amazing cashier---was able to translate the wishes of the hungover, the drunk, and those who barely spoke English so I could simply Sling with confidence. We had some great dance breaks . . .
Lucky420 and I were Slingers together! We took turns on small orders, & split up the big ones, which kept it fun instead of work.
I didn't know all the Pushers, but damn, they work hard! MrPotatomato was among them. Hey, Mister!

There was also a tiny little asskicker among the Slingers who was less than 5 feet tall and threw that ice around like it owed her a hunnerd bucks. Goddamn I wish I remembered her name. Don't even know if I got it in the first place.

I daresay I missed out on meeting Asquared, somehow. I looked for her. Could she have been there and I just missed it?
