You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

......and as we approached the playa, I could see nary a cloud of dust, from the metropolis growing in situ.Shambala wrote:IT'S NICE! That's the ygmir report?ygmir wrote:I was there yesterday......it's nice.
we stopped and gave thanks:

exiting the asphault concrete surfaced roadway, I found myself on an approach to the playa surface of 3" minus crushed rock, flat but quite bumpy, causing much vibration ,but sturdy enough to handle the pointed loads in a small area.
Gate road, attained once on playa itself, is nicely coned into 14 lanes (IIRC) and well pack, with minimal dust as yet.
Sand snakes are fairly common, though fairly dense and packing well.
we queried the master as to the weather:

Upon arrival at camp, I stepped out of my vehicular conveyance, to set foot on said sacred ground, and gave thanks.

I look forward to our eplaya reunion:

BMIR Radio just announced (10:30AM Thursday 8/22/2013) that severe weather conditions have subsided and forecast is for sun, sun, and more sun!!!! We should be good to go! Just gotta convince Ma Nature.
You should be out parading around instead of staying home and reading a bloody book.
